I know Cruise won't make it but that 5th spot for Actor is hard to predict so I'll replace him for the guy of The Fabelmans because I have a weird feeling he will pull a Marina Tavira  :dies:

According to many users on GD, there hasn't been a full line-up of first time nominees in the Best Actor category since the 1940s or something. But then again we're seeing records being broken as of late, so everything is possible.

I am perched to gasp at the off-the-wall best actor/actress nom this year. There’s always one.

Good news for Tom Cruise or Hugh Jackman then :eli:

Between Hong Chau and Stephanie Hsu who has more chances to be nominated?

Obviously both can be nominated but who do you think have bigger chances?

Does anyone think Danielle Deadwyler is scoring a BA’trs nom?

:dancehall2:

I really hope so.

I’m assuming the front runners for the award are her, Blanchett and Yeoh?

Danielle is probably safe; she got both SAG and BAFTA and only missed out at the Globes and they have no overlap with the voting body at the Oscars.

Yeoh and Blanchett are pretty far ahead, I would say she's running a comfortable third rn with her only major win being at the Gotham awards.

I agree because Oscars night is so boring and everyone knows the winners already

At least we can find some surprises with the nominations
