Williams being snubbed by SAG and now BAFTA :skull:

She should’ve stayed supporting.

Anaaaaa

Yessssss

Posted

Everyone say thank you Michelle for sabotaging herself :clap3:

Sad that Cate is probably taking this too. Such an overrated perfomance. I don't see a path for Dr. Yeoh. :chick3:

wow, the acting nominees (sans s actor a little) feel pretty much like copy+paste frontrunners, plus an extra name.

I guess Bafta didn't wanna be dragged like last year for 0% actress overlap:

Joanna Scanlan

Lady Gaga

Alana Haim

Emilia Jones

Renate Reinsve

Tessa Thompson

but a little boring

The BAFTA nomination committees got Oscar friendly after only two years. :toofunny3:

White Michelle really sabotaged herself, the way she had the supporting Oscar on lock when the movie premiered and now she might not even be nominated at all! :deadbanana2:

Also rise Dolly!!! Mother :duca:

That lineup was better than what we actually got at the Oscars (plus the eventual awful winner), lol.

I don't think Ana will make it to the Oscars. Fabelmans is a boring ego trip, but the Academy will probably like it more so Michelle W will likely take her spot.

Same with Top Gun. The Oscars are gonna be more generous.

Sad about Hsu tho. She's having a rough season. :chick2:

Michelle W needs to be getting #1 votes from passionate voters to be making it in, and I don't think she's clearing -- not to mention it doesn't feel like a true lead performance

Michelle Williams snubbed by BAFTA too  It's not looking good

Well Ana De Armas is happening for sure now  :rip:

to be fair, they clearly hated the fabelmans here.

a whopping 1 nom, for the globe winner of picture/director.

Angela Bassett not being nominated at the BAFTAs wouldn't have made that much of a difference imho, in fact I don't think that she's winning it at all

She will clearly have to rely on American votes for the Oscars

Renate, Gaga, Tessa, and Joanna #deserved

there's no way ana is missing. the fact that she got in everywhere for an universally panned film says it all really :giraffe:

if someone is gonna get snubbed for white michelle it's most likely gonna be danielle but i don't see that happening

Margot lost so hard this year.

And wow at the BAFTAs going from 0/5 for the Oscar Best Actress nominees last year to possible 5/6 of the nominees this year. They didn't want to be clowned again  :sistrens:

Likely but still, justice for them snubbing her 30 years ago.

Yes she will probably lose the BAFTA but  win SAG and then the Oscar like Regina King who even missed SAG.

too safe to play by the pre-cursors as seen in the last few years, theres going to be at least one wild card in the acting categories
