Yeoh vs Blanchett is akin to Boseman vs Hopkins.

At the end Blanchett will win.

Oh I didn't know ma rainey won best picture

Yeoh is good, but she's not even in Top 3 best performance last year :toofunny3:

I don't understand why critics rally behind her when they can go with Tang Wei or Zar who give slam dunk performance in their respective movies.

I wish critics should have made their decision based on what they think the best performance instead of predicting the Oscar :toofunny3:

Ok wakanda for best picture!!! I hope

The last-minute Andrea Riseborough hype is just weird, but she's such a wonderful actress that I don't mind that much, but hopefully if she gets in, it's not at the expense of Deadwyler or another POC. :biblio:

Imagine if Yeoh got snubbed like Amy Adams on Oscar nomination morning :deadbanana4:

I don't trust AMPAS until I see Yeoh gets nominated next Tuesday.

These so called Oscar pundits are about to have rude awakening if AMPAS decided to do their own way and snub most people :toofunny3:

There is no world in which Yeoh gets snubbed and I don't think she's the best of the bunch. Yeoh, Blanchett and Deadwyler are obvious shoe-ins.

Posted

So if last year the international voters rallied behind Penélope Cruz, who will they support this year? The other Hispanic movie star Ana de Armas?

Deadwyler is not a shoe-in, her film is not a big player and she has shown weakness missing the Globes, Indie Spirits and poor international support.

Blanchett and Yeoh are locks, Yeoh missing for a white woman would end the Oscars. :deadbanana4:

The backlash would be huge
