This category fraud was not it and she should have went for Supporting from the beginning because her win was locked. Now she might punch out Hsu and stop Bassett from winning. 19 minutes ago, fridayteenage said: It's not fraud 🧙 Mary Tyler moore was in 26 percent of very comparable film ordinary people and got in lead. Michelle has like 35 percent Mary Tyler Moore is more supporting in Ordinary People, Timothy Hutton is the main lead and was frauded to supporting. Michelle is borderline from what I’ve read, she tried to pull an Olivia but it backfired And if she is placed in supporting at the Oscars I still don’t see her beating Angela.
fridayteenage Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 There's no such thing as frauding in lead anyway as it is the bigger more challenging category

Green Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 3 hours ago, Leptine said: They shouldn't allow actors to switch category in the middle of the race, they need to take the risk until the end at the expense of not getting nominated. The academy is the one that decides the final placement. Lakeith Stanfield campaigned for Best Actor, the academy placed him in Supporting instead Kate Winslet campaigned in Supporting for The Reader, the academy nominated her in Lead instead. I doubt Michelle is switching, according to that predictor some members of the acting branch are the ones that feel like her role is more supporting than lead.
fridayteenage Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 if everything loses, i'll blame the whale b/c a24's been amping up its promo blitz for that panned (but audience liked) film and splitting their attention too much.
hausofdave Posted January 14, 2023 Author Posted January 14, 2023 in general EEAAO will be more divisive amongst the AMPAS than The Whale, the former would probably garner more lower ranked scores despite getting more high ones as well
Donquizote Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 The real supreme The Fabelmans will rise and win Best Picture.

Dark Miracles Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 (edited) Riseborough was so good in Possessor, it's definitely high time for her to finally land an Oscar nomination after many great performances. But Cruz had just a couple of important citations to indicate support which Riseborough just doesn!t have right now for To Leslie 41 minutes ago, fridayteenage said: a bad actress Hepburn in Lion In Winter >>> Streep's career Edited January 14, 2023 by Dark Miracles

It'll be exciting if she pulls through for the best movie of the year.
