Did someone already expose that New Mexico film critic only consist of one critic? :toofunny3:

Anyway, so glad Ana is getting recognition here.

One of the best performances this year :clap3:

It's a bit concerning so far. Of course, people end up getting all the actual major precursor noms then are left off anyway so.

Watch the Academy give the BSA Male to Bill Nighy or Paul Mezcal instead of Ke Huy, the same will happen when they award BA to Cate…

Also I’m surprised they snubbed The Batman score from the shortlist, that was honestly the main great aspect of the film and even got a Grammy and Critic’s Choice nom for it, at least it got into VFX and Makeup but it won’t win any of those, Makeup will go for Elvis I think and VFX Avatar.

But the Best International Film shortlist is just so good so good, I’m still rooting for Vicki to land a BA nom.

Really hope Glass Onion doesn't get any acting nominations. It was not excellent

There's still hope for Tang Wei and de Armas to get nominated :jonny5:

That’s not how it works.

You are aware they're not even competing in the same category? :deadbanana4:

Got my snacks ready... Gonna watch Glass Onion less than 2 hours from now on Netflix. :gaycat1:

Glass Onion was fine, the title is apt for the movie itself. Tons of layers yet transparent to see the core. Janelle Monae carried, but for an acting nom, I doubt it.

Knives Out was fairly mid, I was only just able to stomach Daniel Craig's accent. Will probably give Glass Onion a chance because of Kate Hudson.

I wasn't a huge fan of Glass Onion but Kate Hudson was one of the highlights tbh

Babylon just earned C+ on cinemascore. It's also predicted to only make <7M over 4-day weekend :rip:

Not sure how Robbie will get nominated for this box office bomb :skull:

The fact that we will have two films that grossed >1B at box office for BP nominees this year :jonny5:

Somehow Oscar doesn't need that Best Popular Film category after all :jonny5:

Mannnn, couldn't believe how boring Glass onion was. Not as witty as it thinks it is. Janelle was good, the one bright spot and did the best job delivering and elevating. So very possible the fans can still carry her to the nom.

Is Avatar BO (relatively) flopping? I'm sad I got my hopes up for it (3B lmaooo), but still safe for BP?

Another bomb. Yikes.

Oscar-bait movies keep TANKING at the box office. It's over OVER :rip:.

This whole award season has been such a bore, kinda on par with 2020! Not even the best actress category has gathered my interest :rip:

The fact that the majority of the films that were supposed to serve acclaim this season have all bombed too!

Let’s pack it up & try next year, girls! :gaycat7:

when ms Barbie still manages to get in the fifth slot for her panned BO flop

De Armas or Bassett need to bribe the HFPA like ms. Nicole Kidman did last year and win that Golden Globe. We have to shake up this season.
