Let’s be honest. Based on acting alone, she was 5th on the list. JLC was 4th.

Agreed. Basset should be the least upset at losing :rip:

I am shocked at Jamie winning, I think Angela deserved but can’t say I am not happy for Jamie, she is queen.

i'm kinda shook JLC and Bassett are the same age, Jei mei le looks in her 70s and Basset could be in her 40s

I really love Angela, but it's not like she gave the best acting in BP tbh, I loved Letitia and underrated Danai Gurira much much more

It literally doesn't make sense.

JLC was the SAG winner and the second with most critics wins after Kerry Condon in her category this season. It's not really that shocking

The way michelle is about to lose best actress

This is such a gorgeous stage and set-up. Everything is so classy and elegant.

Im confused, I did not think Bassett's performance was anything striking during that movie..... Stephanie definitely deserved over JLC.

Angela will have more chances if she stops wasting her time with Ryan Murphy and focus on more Oscar bait films

Its definitely looking like an EE sweep.

Even the Tar clip audience energy feels deflated

doesn't it kinda lowers michelle's chances? 3 wins in acting categories :dancehall:

That’s what worries me, a movie hasn’t won 3 acting Oscars in years :dancehall:

Really hoping Michelle pulls through

Kerry and Angela both looked pissed when Jamie's name was called

What did they do? Not award a Marvel movie?

Angela is a legend in her own right. She should've won back in 1994, but they gave the award to a white woman with a boring performance. They did it again this year.

Who cares. I guarantee more people watching are happy for Jamie Lee than mad about Angela Basset losing for Black Panther 2.

I miss when the Oscars used to do chaotic/creative sketches. Now it's just boring monologues and presentations by the host. Ugh.

Angela literally was about to burst down in tears. She didn't even clap or stand for Jamie. That was so messed up with the Academy did to her.

she had two scenes in a Marvel movie. Say it with a straight face.
