And it won't be the best Best Picture winner in the last five years either - but thats just because Parasite & ScarJoon Ho's cousin did THAT and Asian Excellence Chloé Zhao also swept recently Parasite is #3 of all time, right behind Schindler’s List

fridayteenage Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 Idk, all about eve is pretty perfect and is centered around actresses actressing
Kylizzle Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 Parasite is definitely my favorite BP winner and I don't see anything topping that soon. EEAAO would be high up there though.
fridayteenage Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Crouching tiger should be in the mix but it was too ahead of it's time for ampas
X~MoviePoP Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 The best picture of all time is slumdog, crash or moonlight
Donquizote Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 ^^Pray for your taste Amelie, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Pan's Labyrinth are the best movies of all time.
Dr. Alexander Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Fablemans is tugging at Inisherin for writing, but it is definitely at the top of my list for directing. Steven always does his job well
family.guy123 Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 They almost never get best picture right. Parasite, moonlight, and titanic are the only ones I can think of. Maybe silence of the lambs too, but needs a rewatch.
family.guy123 Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Can’t believe I forgot about Patton. George c Scott is just so
Dr. Alexander Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Eve’s Bayou should’ve been nominated for Best Picture and it easily should’ve won for Screenplay. But you know, the Academy was extremely white at the time.
wesleywalrus Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 The Apartment, All About Eve, Silence of the Lambs, and Cuckoo's Nest are what I think of when I think of the 'best' Best Picture winners. Godfather II, Parasite and Schnidler's List are all great too, but I'm not a big fan of Spielberg in general. I have a soft spot for Spotlight, but Mad Max not winning was criminal. Thinking EEAAO will join some people's lists is insane but like I'm here for it.
fridayteenage Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 On They Shoot Pictures Don't They's aggregate: 7 godfather 8 sunrise 26 godfather ii 32 lawrence of arabia 36 casablanca 59 apartment 86 annie hall 108 gone with the wind 113 one flew over 129 all about eve

Vroom Vroom Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Top Gun is winning Best Picture. I personally prefer Tar and Everything Everywhere, but they are both too controversial. TGM is well liked by everyone and will be in the top 3 on a lot of ballots. There is going to be major backlash, but these are the same people that voted for Green Book so it shouldn’t be too surprising. I know EEAAO has won pretty much everything, but I don’t see a movie with dildos and butt plugs winning Best Picture. I would love to be proven wrong
Cloröx Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 One day left until Everything Everywhere Oscars at Once sweeping
Liafen Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 I don't see TGM winning. There was a time where I believed it might actually happen cause EEAAO is indeed out there but its hype and passion, though not as great as Parasite's, is sustained enough to deservedly win.
Riot Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 EEAO is winning Best Picture. This category is a bigger lock than the acting categories tbh

Soup in Teapot Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 (edited) Streaming EEAAO soundtrack right now. Ugh the chills I got when I hear Waymond Cries and Evelyn all at once… Edited March 11, 2023 by Soup in Teapot

Brando Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 My Best Picture Ranking: 1. All Quiet On The Western Front - fantastic: loved the German perspective of the war as opposed to the usual Allies side 2. Triangle of Sadness - really cute and funny and sad at the same time 3. Elvis - way too rushed at times, but learned so much about Elvis 4. Everything Everywhere - really unique, but way too messy and far too stupid at times 5. The Banshees - beautiful, the cinematography alone is worth watching it for 6. The Fablemans - cute and heartwarming, very beautifully shot and acted 7. Tar - a little too unbelievable at times and the ending is meh, but Kate alone is worth it 8. Women Talking - way too boring and the conversations/interactions are unrealistic 9. Top Gun - Generic Turd 10. Avatar - Glorified Screensaver
