EnigmaticAndroid Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 EEAAO winning SAG, PGA, DGA, and WGA I typically don't like calling things locked but at this point...
fridayteenage Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 In the 28 years of Sag Ensemble's existence as an award, there's been 3 5/5 guild sweeps: Everything Everywhere All at Once Argo Slumdog Millionaire And it's arguably stronger given how a) Argo missed a directing nom and b) Slumdog missed acting noms.
kandicha Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 wow. EEAAO cleaned up at the guilds. never could've imagined this at the start of the awards season. hope it's enough to push Dr. Yeoh to the win as well
chiliam Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 When it premiere, we all just thought EEAAO will for sure be a cult classic. But no one would expect a movie release in March can do such big damage in award seasons like this. The passion for the film is real and well-deserved. Such a refreshing movie, it will go down as one of the best this century/all time.
hausofdave Posted March 6, 2023 Author Posted March 6, 2023 EEAAO has won all the Editing precursors, two of them over Maverick. If the latter wins both Sound and Editing at the Oscars I will never doubt the correlation ever again.
Matthew Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 I just watched EEAAO again. If it doesn’t win BP This movie is so emotional.

Not only emotional, but its also genuinely hilarious, my theater laugh out loud in lot of moments, some movies bring you tear, some will make you laugh. And this movie manage to do both like you laugh at one scene and getting heavy emotional at the scene after. On top of that the action scenes also serving. What a movie

EnigmaticAndroid Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 Saw Triangle of Sadness a few days ago and have come to the conclusion that Dolly probably makes my personal Top 5 in the category Ostlund was also a deserving pick for Director and Screenplay
Blade Runner Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 I have EEAAO winning: Picture Director Actress S. Actress S. Actor Original Screenplay Editing Seems almost impossible. Some shenanigan is going to happen on Oscars night.
fridayteenage Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 well, no film's ever won both 3 acting awards AND picture drop curtis and it's plausible

Bad Wolf Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 Stats are made to be broken and I'm really hoping this movie is the one to do it
