At this point I'm taking all of Daniels' EEAAO awards as if they are winning for the best music video ever made.

 

Stephanie's speech was amazing, I shed a tear. I know she doesn't stand a chance, but it would be amazing if she won the Oscar.

I absolutely hate the idea of gender neutral acting categories, it’s so unnecessary and sounds good in theory but while Michelle rightfully won, it will make it harder for WOC to win in the future.

I literally didn't even mention race, just that people have been downplaying its place in the awards race and its support.

Does anybody know the overlap between ISA and AMPAS voters? I believe anybody who pays for a membership can vote for the Indies. My friend who is not in the industry at all voted. Thank you.

You basically just pay $90 or something and get in. That's why they don't really matter that much although they are helpful for gauging what film fans are into.

I just finished watching Triangle of Sadness. It was such a great film!

 

Dolly De Lon should’ve been nominated for Best Supporting Actress instead of Jamie Lee at the Oscars. I have no idea how that happened. Dolly deserved.

 

But, what has offset this new style of film where wealthier white people are being truthfully shown as entitled, out of touch, and racist? I mean we had White Lotus, The Menu, and now Triangle of Sadness. What is this trend?

I swear i cannot take seriously people hating EEAAO, i understand it's not for everyone but it's an objectively great film, there's a reason it has resonated with so many people.
