Triangle of Sadness was an extreme letdown.

Parasite is one of my favorite movies but I swear every popular "rich people bad" movie that's come after it always ends up just beating the audience over the head with the message of the film as if I can't extrapolate it myself whatsoever.

Ummmm? :deadbanana4:

It's a very complex and demanding role. There's a lot of emotional and thematic layers, not even gonna get into all the choreography she had to learn. :deadbanana4:

Yeoh stans continuously downplaying 2x Oscar winner legend Blanchett’s role as if it wasn’t as demanding if not more :rip: pulling out as many hate cards as you can huh?

As if some of y'all haven't been downplaying EEAAO for the entire season :rip:

And lbr, every year now there's always one performance that gets hyped up as "objectively the best performance in decades" and it's always a white woman. Typically a Film Twitter fav. While some of the discussion has been toxic, it's not unfair to critique that narrative and discerning it from the actual performance. :celestial5:

EEAOO was a COMEDY?!? Not sure if that makes it worse or if I missed something and need to rewatch. I’ll just go with the former cause there’s no way I’m sitting through that again.

I loved it but I got kind of annoyed when it turned into an antisemitism after school special.

Also Paul Dano was boring in that movie. WTF was everyone talking about with the "snub," if anything Gabriel LaBelle deserved consideration
