Her final scene alone deserves this win over every other nominee. "comedic" actors are often proven to be some of the best dramatic talents. The skill, conviction, and charisma it takes to sell comedy on screen is tenfold that which a dramatic performance demands. Sketch/improv comedians develop a strong background in how stories are structured, how to tell them through a connected series of words and actions, how to work through a narrative problem, how to connect and respond to their partners, and how to incorporate given circumstances and portray characters. It's simply harder to be funny than it is to be dramatic, It's harder to sell comedy than it is drama. This is why there are far more comedic actors who make the jump to drama than there is the reverse. Watch the show and you'll learn why she deservedly won.
