I just mean the way the era has played out with the label. Also one has yet to release an album and has like 3 solo songs in her entire catalog so not too much :alexz2:

Adele barely released her 4th album last year. More content doesn’t mean more demand.

there’s really no reason for this big gap between Fair’s release and now even if things start rolling this month which even now seems to be questionable

@Flare didn’t you said you heard some whispering though that May is gonna be a good month?

That’s what “insiders” on this site, another music forum, & twitter were saying. I don’t think it’s false, but Fair video getting scrapped is entirely possible.

Why would they ask for a fan video then not do anything with it? It feels like Fair tanking on Urban radio basically ended the “Fair era” so now we have a gap in content between Fair and the uptempo. May can still be saved though.

That’s Adele.

Fair without an album announcement was ridiculous. Like what is going on?  Why not have a pre-order/save link up at any point between Wild Side and now?

Whatever they release next, it has to have an album announcement with it. The little hype and interest that is left hinges on a full project. And they need to announce a club or theatre tour. I think it can be the latter, if Jorja Smith can tour theatres in North America so can Normani.

She should open for someone again to gain a bigger fanbase to tour. Megan was still opening for Dua and Doja for The Weeknd so it’s not like she’s big enough not to open for a bigger artist.

I wish Fair had a bridge before the final chorus bc I be sounding like a owl for my fave part OoOoOoOo

A part of me wishes she was going to be opening for Lizzo. That would’ve been so beneficial imo.

Does anyone know if Meg is going to tour later this year?  I feel like it’d be really cool if Normani got on that billing. It doesn’t have to be stadiums but they both would totally deliver a good tour.

100% agree. It’s absolutely crucial to move on immediately and announce the album along with the single release.

This is why I feel like BBMAs would’ve been perfect - she could drop the single two days before the show, and then the hosts/announcers would mention right before she performs that she’s about to have an album out.

I honestly have no idea what RCA is planning but it totally looks bleak at the moment. A lot of missed and wasted opportunities.

She didn’t get that much hype from it tbh. She’s been blending in too much. She used to be a STANDOUT person to look for in the carpet. There’s definitely some BTS drama with her label...she doesn’t seem like she’s excited to launch an album era at all.

RIGHT!!!!!!!Her mind is not there at all.  :deadbanana4:

I'm over here chillin cause i'm over all the theories and rehashed discussions for the 20th time in here. I keep myself occupied with other music while I wait for Normani/RCA to move. No need stressing over things out of your control. :foxaylove3:

I'm over here kiiii'ing at those trying to analyze her body language on a random red carpet interview, like please go outside. :sistrens:

This is good, music is definitely coming with the publishing deal. They’re gearing up for the releases soon. It’s also cool to note that Hipgnosis has notoroious artists under their publishing department such as Shakira, Blondie, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jack Antonoff, Timbaland, etc.

But again, soon better means May 13th so we can secure that BBMAs! :dies:

This is great but didn’t someone on here confirm start of April the album was like 10 weeks away?? Hopefully this all starts making sense soon

It’s crazy to think that 3-4 years she was opening for Ariana Grande and singing Rihanna covers…. Wow. Look how far we have come, in the worst of ways :rip:

Normani has a new publishing deal:

Variety mentions, new publishing deal indicates new music is imminently on the way (in general).

Ok now I’m starting to believe that June 17 date. Lizzo is releasing on July 15 and I’ve noticed that their releases are weirdly synchronized. Wild side released July 15 exactly a month later Rumors August 13

Then it happened again

Fair March 18 about a month later About That Time April 14.

And the rumored date for Normani’s album is exactly a month before Lizzo.

Maybe I’m lost here but what does the publishing deal have to do with hinting towards a June album?? Didn’t she have a publishing deal before

New publishing deals are often announced before new music releases, as Variety noted. She did have one with Sony/ATV but I think this either replaces that one or is an additional deal on a more global/international scale? Someone can correct me if I’m wrong though.

Artists normally shop around for new publishing deals often to get the best deal to get their music featured in commercials, shows, movies etc.

And this is where I need to tag some people into this discussion: @professor2000 @WheresJay @shelven @Khamis and whoever else, why would she leave Sony/ATV (which is a pretty good publishing group), then not sign with S10’s publishing which Brandon Silverstein (her manager) has been working hard to build up?

Feels like a no brainer, but she instead goes with Hipgnosis out the blue. What does this all mean?

I do think music is coming soon but it's weird how she teased Wild Side and Fair for months before releasing and we still know nothing about the next single that's supposed to be out in a few weeks :rip:
