Yea I'd also feel very upset but that's also our nature. We tend to hear the negative criticism and ignore all of the praising.. but she's still young and will learn how to deal with the unnecessary hate she gets.

 

By no means her performance was weak. Live vocals, choreo, nice solo setlist. So many "artists" wouldn't be able to hold it together. I'm also sure any other artist performing today would have faced the same criticism since the game was delayed + all the pandemonium outside. But ofc ATRL will make it seem otherwise, they can't see her win lol

Okay I finally saw the performance and she killed it! I def understand why DGY got the main attention since it’s perfect for that environment.

Her best move is announcing the Familia Theatre Tour. Small venues, let them sell out and gain buzz for having a sold out tour and get out and see the fans who have stuck by her. For whatever reason (whether it be the racism scandal, people still hating on her for the 5H breakup, the relationship with an obvious gay man) her commercial career outside of a collab hit every year or two is over. As stans we have to accept this.

I don’t think her career is over at all.. if you think about it, you will see she’s not making music following the current trends, so it’s not like an album full of Latin music will make a splash like trap/rap/urban pop etc. I also think that any performer today would face the same criticism given the pandemonium on the stadium.. it’s just she wasn’t lucky this time around

 

But yeah of course she’ll never be like Adele or Taylor Swift lol

dont write her off just yet yall. she just needs an image re branding. The music is consistently solid and has a lot of earworms. It's just her image is really "boring" if that makes sense. She feels like she's been known for so long now and so its time for a major image rebranding. And when I say image i do not just mean her looks or style. I literally mean even her music etc...the public needs to see her in a much different light then the whole "relatable pretty girl who serves occasional latin tinged bops and a couple ballads here and there". She needs to make an even more ambitious career pivot with the next record.

I think Camila has one of the best teams in the game right now. yeah, they messed up big time with romance but after that they didn't miss once. They're quick enough to delete her dumb (I love her but let's be real) tweets, they have booked her for big and good promo slots. She was all over television during release week, then she got vs and the voice coming up next. If they keep going like this I don't think she's over at all.

Pop radio she is, what are they gonna push for a single after bam bam? HLD is dead on arrival and nothing else on Familia screams radio except Quiet but I doubt they even try

I think the album has multiple radio and tiktok friendly songs which is all she needs rn. once bam bam starts dying (and it doesn't look like it will stop anytime soon) they should fully focus on another single from the album. I also like the VEVO performances she did, it's good that while the main focus stay bam bam they're doing their best to promote the whole body of work. I really have no complaints to make right now
