abrahamjmr Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Post your questions, girls. Let's get educated today. There was a thread about it in oldtrl. If there was another one created before, I'm sorry.
AlanRickman1946 Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 (edited) Remember in oldtrl (the one post 2016) someone said "why is AIDS in Spanish SIDA?" and someone else sarcastically said "why is pregnant in Spanish embarazada? Are they embarassed?" Edited April 18, 2022 by AlanRickman1946

Ms. Togekiss Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 If someone is undetectable, can they still transmit it via blood? Like say some freak accident happens and you end up in contact with their blood, is it still not transmissible or is “undetectable” solely for transmission via sex?
its_britney_bitch Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 I’m freaking out. I tested negative 28 days after a possible exposure. The guy said he was negative and on prep but um… yeah I don’t trust him. I did test positive for gonorrhea however I got that treated 2 days ago but now I have a fever and I’m paranoid thinking I might actually have HIV. I don’t know how accurate blood tests are after 28 days? It’s been 38 days at this point, my mind is racing. I know I can’t just test everyday but I don’t think I can wait until the 3 month mark. I’m really scared. It doesn’t help that I have health anxiety at the best of times

Cottonmouth Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 I'm about to start PrEP medication. Just need my results back negative first - but I was wondering what are the standard side effects from taking PrEP, if any. Also, although I plan on taking PrEP daily, does anyone have any experience of taking it event based?

OT: Sorta related, sorta not... Does anyone know of a way to search for monkey pox vaccine near you? I see some gay establishments on social media say they're doing it but it's always last minute.

Nausea and loss of appetite were the biggest side affects for me, I lost a lot of weight taking it daily, the first 2 days I actually vomited. I have to do event based because it’s awful taking it everyday.

Also, although I plan on taking PrEP daily, does anyone have any experience of taking it event based? Headache, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea are the common ones. Descovy has less side effects, especially the long term one like kidney impairment or osteoporosis, than Truvada. I took Descovy and for the first 2-3 weeks I had terrible nausea. But it got better with time and now im fine, you just need to kinda push through it and keep taking the medication if you think the side effects are not really severe. My advise is that you can take it with meals, or take it after dinner before bedtime so you can sleep through it. 7 minutes ago, Oktober Knight said: Headaches and stomach pain can be common side effects though I believe that's rare. You can call the public health department of your city to ask about it. Phone number should be available on their website.

Don't you need to know days in advance when you plan on having sex? 1 minute ago, Likingstars said: Headache, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea are the common ones.
