Who do you consider the biggest villain in human history?

Not movie villains, real life villains. There’s many evil people who’ve walked this earth, but who truly stands out among them all?

There are a lot of bad people in history (especially in the twentieth century) but I would say Christopher Columbus. He died centuries ago and yet the trauma that he caused endures to this day.

Hitler is definitely up there.

People often mention Christopher Columbus because his name is well known, but his voyages were possible due to the Catholic Monarchs of Spain, Queen Isabella of Castile and King Ferdinand II of Aragon. They provided the funding and authorization for the voyages between Spain and the Americas and the creation of the colonies which bought huge benefits to Spain and the genocide of 100M+ native Americans in the ongoing invasion of the Americas. They were also responsible for the Spanish Inquisition and Expulsion of the Jews from Spain.

These ones too and also Hitler of course.

In more recent times, George W Bush and Tony Blair who have still not been charged for their war crimes.

Queen Isabel declared in her last will that American natives should be treated as her Spanish subjects and not as slaves. So I wouldn’t include her or Fernando, who was kinda apart from American issues as villains, obviously they have a different conception of the world that we have now. People like Hernán Cortes were who carry out a genocide
