The Spectacular

Spoiler

98% of everything worked for me. And as a Life time Spidey fan this was like a Dream come true. An emotional Multiverse story, Unlimited amounts of Fanservice and Miles being a well written and relatable Spidey. Things didn’t feel as crammed as I fears it would be. The story and heart still was the center of the movie.

The Animation was literally the best visuals I’ve ever seen. Ever. Not even kidding. I know it’s cliche to say it looks like the Comic pages come to life. But more so than ever did I feel like I was in a Comic.

This was the diversity and action set pieces that I wanted to see in the MCU phase 4. Like It hit every demographic without trying to hard or being cringe. All of the Spider-Men and Spider Women feel like Spidey. But they also had thier own personality and comic relif style that didn’t feel like we were just watching carbon copy variants. Voice acting and effort stands out.

the Cameos from Donal Glover Prowler, Spider-Man PS4, and The cinematic peters made my audience’s explode.

I think this delivery 10/10 material and was even more entertaining than the first.

The Amazing

Spoiler

Gwen’s parts were so relatable to me for some reason. I was worried that making the first 15 minutes focus solely on her would take some people out who were waiting for miles. But the way her plot points parallel miles and thier relationship together was masterfully done. Also love how she is making her own spider society to save miles at the end of the film. It got me hyped for Beyond!!

Miguel telling Miles he was never supposed to be and he don’t belong😭 it really is the same rhetoric people use to say miles ain’t Spider-Man cuz he is black. And it’s even more crazy how that’s exactly how comic fans were in 2000. They said he was the original abnormally. 💀 Miles is the original. And I love how they woven that into the main character arc of his.

The Superior

Spoiler

The action and visuals is beyond anything I could have expected. It’s actually insane. I think the only critic I have is how fast paced events and actions were. Like your kids will definitely have no problem enjoying it cuz 10 million things are happening on the screen all the time

Hi Moralesters,

I'm going on Saturday. Is this movie worth splurging the few extra bucks on Dolby Cinema or iMAX or is standard just fine? If yes, which is better Dolby or iMAX?

Thanks loves

Looking like an excellent $16M previews. Weekend can be $110M+

It was great, just definitely feels like you're only watching half a movie stretched out into one movie, which is my biggest annoyance. Everything else was top-notch though :clap3:

The movie was great! The animation is second to none. Best art direction in an animated movie since like... Bambi. It's one for the books.

I don’t know how the **** they did it but the animation on this one is even better than the first film. L&M saying that hey had 1K animators working on this makes sense because wow. It’s very creative and love how the style  changes and stays in-sync with the mood throughout the film. The art style for Gwen’s universe in particular is perfection.

The story is excellent, of course (though I’m waiting to see the conclusion before I judge fully as they left us hanging), but I still can’t get over how they came up with such revolutionary animation on a reasonable budget.

Miguel, Spider-Punk and Spider-India were the MVPs for me. Everyone gave great voice performances, but Oscar Isaac is an absolute standout.

Also I gotta say even though Spot was never one of my favorite Spidey villains, I absolutely loved his portrayal throughout. By the end of the movie he becomes beyond terrifying, something I was not expecting. And the way his animation was subtly changing over the course of the movie was 🔥

What an absolute triumph this whole franchise has been for Sony.

The audience scores in China are amazing. Omg.

● 9.4 on Maoyan (biggest movie tickening platform).

https://m.maoyan.com/asgard/movie/1298450?_v_=yes&channelId=4&cityId=1

It's currently the highest-rated superhero movie of all time, surpassing Guardians of the Galaxy 3 (9.3).

● 9.0 Douban (China's IMDb)

https://m.douban.com/movie/subject/30391186/

It's currently the 2nd highest-rated superhero movie of all time, just behind The Dark Knight (9.2)

Hopefully this means they’re keeping Supaidaman for the next one cause this was the most disappointing part of the movie for me (lol). They confirmed he would appear and even said they were finished with his design a long time ago yet there wasn’t even a glimpse of him in the movie. I was so hyped to see him even if it was just crumps lmao.

And there were some other popular names missing as well. Like there’s no way they’re aren’t bringing in Silk (especially with her live action series in development). And the audience (me) also wants Superior Spiderman as well while we’re at it.

Spoiler

Wish the ending didn't leave on a "To Be Continued..." and was more fluid than the first's ending, but that's really my only critique.

I like the animation too but I hope it does not become a trend for other movies. I like it as an unique style reversed for only a limited amount of movies.

Disney's animation (especially the background and character design) is the best.

Saw this last night and it deserves every bit of praise under the sun. This is the most exciting film to get to experience in the moment, on the scale of what Lord of the Rings did for fantasy, I believe that’s what this does for animation.

Most of the movies that tried this style in recent years failed to match it. It won't become a new norm

There was a huge groan in my theater followed by applause. If you don’t know it’s coming, it must be frustrating. I had already heard it ends this way so honestly I was prepared and fine with it

The only bad scene was

the Michelle Yeoh cameo :rip: so try hard. I bet some executive shoved that in at the last minute

Wait what Michelle Yeoh cameo? Do mean Mrs. Chen, the Asian woman at the convenience store or did i miss something?

AMAZING FILM

what a cliffhanger

That movie was absolutely insane. :jonny: I was not expecting that ending at all.

Spoiler

My only complaints are that at times the movie felt all-over-the-place and I felt that they relegated Peter Parker to much to comic relief.

this was so overwhelming, it's insane. Movie of the year, and I doubt anything tops it tbh :wanda:
