Yeah, The Marvels kinda f'd them over. It will probably up a few weeks, but hopefully, it can be finished in time.

The way it had one of the best release dates of the year originally. Nov 17th is perfect; you get the benefit of Thanksgiving week in the 2nd weekend, and the film is still playing well enough by Christmas time to rake in a lot more dough (like Wakanda Forever just did). Pissed how WB has navigated this so far, running away from the bloody Hunger Games reboot  then getting f--ked by The Marvels now with its date change. So irritating. 

 

The best it can do is just go back to late October. It will have no competition and IMAX/PLF all to itself for 3 weeks, which is 1 week more than Part 1 at least.

Idk why they cast Austin Butler. It's giving me Jared Leto in Blade Runner 2049 vibes.

I think his character has like 3 scenes in the whole book and one of the scenes was already in the first part, so I hope they don't extend the role for his talentless ass. We need more of Lady Jessica and less of Zendaya, Austin or Florence.

I just finished the first movie yesterday and let me tell you, I have never waited so long for a sequel to a sci-fi movie. this was amazing

I’ve been sitting on the book since watching Part 1. I was so taken by the film that I really wanted to read the first book by the time part 2 comes out but WHEW I’m so intimidated by its length

Probably similar timeframe as the last one in regards to marketing. Don't think we will see a trailer until May or June. 

 

Btw, Dune sold amazingly on home video. It ended up being the #4 best selling movie of 2022, punching way above it weight in comparison to its box office. Only Jurassic World, Top Gun Maverick and Spiderman No Way Home outsold. 

 

Part 2 should be in for a very healthy box office bump.

Loved dune 1 but topping it wont be hard.. 

 

It gave avatar. Wow cinematography and captivating visuals but the delivery of the story was very
