yourfaveisaflop Posted July 4 Posted July 4 This episode I wish they would just drop the whole season I hate waiting. 1
KFC Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Twink asses drive me ******* feral. I need to see Hughie plowed by Rafael Alencar 1 1
Tiziano's Boy Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Spoiler Ngl, I thought it was very hot watching Hughie sit down and fart on the cake 1
Hector Posted July 4 Posted July 4 (edited) That entire Ted Knight S&M segment was just Poor Hughie. The Zendaya mention And that finale was brilliant. Was not expecting that Sixth Sense-esque twist for Butcher. Oh and that Homelander & Firecracker scene Edited July 4 by Hector 1
Almodusa Posted July 4 Posted July 4 (edited) Hughie's sole shots Just 2 more eps? Edited July 4 by Almodusa 1
Mr. Peanutbutter Posted July 5 Posted July 5 The season started off strong but it's going in circles at this point. How many times are they still going to debate about the virus possibly killing every supe even the good one? Also Hughie mourning his father's death while being sexually assaulted by his childhood hero was pretty uncomfortable with no pay off, seems like they are throwing a bunch of random stuff to stretch out the episodes 4
ainadalkaz Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I'm not sure if that was meant to be a "twist" or what but did anyone actually think that Kessler was real? 2
Jotham Posted July 5 Posted July 5 (edited) I really like what they did with A-Train in this episode. I didn't really care about him before this season but I'm enjoying the character development they are doing with him, especially considering how a lot of other characters' arcs are just constantly recycled (looking at you, Frenchie and Butcher). It was pretty obvious to me. Although someone in this thread just said they weren't expecting it at all and they were mindblown by the twist How on earth do the The Boys leave every situation unscathed. Everyone seems to die but them. Is this the same in the comics? Is it like a running gag in the comics that nothing ever happens to them? At this point it becomes tedious. QueenB Posted July 5 Posted July 5 yeah this show shouldve wrapped up last season.. this last episode was just trying to be shocking with nothing really happening. That "twist" that everyone knew 1

It's getting ridiculous now how many times Kimiko 'dies' but the rest of them survive without a scratch 1 1

Tbf, when part of your audience is made up of people so stupid that they are just now realising the show is making fun of them, you probably think you can get away with a twist that obvious 1
zoldyck Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I really enjoyed the last episode. I know it doesn't do anything to move foraward plot but it was ******* hilarious. I lost it when Sage and Neumon were exchanging nodes 1
Tiziano's Boy Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Sorry but Kripke is coming off as a prick here, Male SA is never funny, no matter how you to try to depict it in a show Spoiler Let's start with the Tek Knight sex dungeon part. Where did the idea come for it? And why bring Hughie into this situation now — kicking him when he's down by having him sexually assaulted by his childhood hero after his dad just died? Well, that's a dark way to look at it! We view it as hilarious. https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/the-boys-homelander-breastfeeding-firecracker-tek-knight-hughie-sex-dungeon-1236059308/amp/ 3
QueenB Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I'm tired of Kimiko having to show her phone screen with what she's saying, the boys spent all this time with her and they couldnt learn sign language in this time? 2

It's so strange that Frenchie was the only one who learned, why didn't he just teach the others? 2

ATRL Moderator Ampersand13 Posted July 7 ATRL Moderator Posted July 7 I find this show increasingly frustrating. There are parts that I absolutely love (with some new things this season that I find really interesting) I like MM’s bigger presence, love what they’re doing with A-Train, Hughie’s little subplot, Kimiko (I just will always love her), and of course every time Claudia Doumit steps out I am floored. I would literally just watch a show of her tbh. HOWEVER. Every time Homelander comes on screen I immediately check out. I just don’t find him interesting or funny or compelling. I know a lot of people love the character and Antoni’s portrayal, but he is far and away my least favorite part of this series. Not because of the performance, which I do find the slightest bit overrated, but because every choice the writers have made with his progression and arc feels so arbitrary or forced. I will see this series through, and again there are still elements that I find wildly fun, but I can’t shake the feeling that the show is really struggling to use all of its characters and pieces effectively.

I 100% agree with Claudia Doumit, she's been doing especially well this season. I have a feeling that Victoria Neuman's gonna die soon though. I also agree to some extent with Homelander. Antony Starr's a good actor but there are also a lot of other great actors on the show that don't nearly get as much praise as him. Also, I just get yucky vibes from him, especially after he assaulted the bartender in Spain. 1
Miley Cyrus Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Noooo why did they kill off Ted Knight he was my fave He was such a funny yet intriguing supe. Loved him on Gen V too!
KFC Posted July 10 Posted July 10 With season 5 being the last, which characters do you guys see surviving to the finale and beyond? I think A-Train and Ashley will certainly die, along with Frenchie and Kimiko. I'm really scared for Victoria too

Spoiler Actually, they will probably die at the same time since they both were prowling around Homelander's suite. I hope & pray Kimiko makes it at least until the very end
