How did I miss that the entire show leaked in August when I'm such a fan. Apparently I don't follow enough teenage girls on twitter ig :suburban:

Well I guess I'll hold off one more day and give Netflix their streaming numbers. Excited for another season of feelings and cheesy dialogue :clap3:

Do they release the entire season at once? I have cancelled my subscription at netflix and I'm planning on binge the whole season so I only have to pay for one month :suburban:

this season is very different tonally thus far. I've read the books but even still it has surprised me that they have made it very... melanchoic, reflective. sad but also hopeful. Episode 4 was so well done

Episode 4 deserves an Emmy. They handled the subject matter flawlessly.

Excellent season :clap3: I love the way this season dealt with mental health,  eating disorders, asexuality/being aromantic, trans and non binary identities and preparing with having sex.

Spoiler

So happy Nick and Charlie had sex multiple times in the last 2 episodes. I wonder how they'll navigate the long distance relationship while Nick is at university.

Hated how Elle was gaslit into having her interview used for sensationalist purposes.

I just love Nick and Charlie's relationship,  they make each other whole so much :clap3: I have a feeling season 4 will be an even more arduous journey for them though.

Only 5 episode so far but EP4 alone can make this the best season. That Episode and Kit Connor deserve more recognization

This season was so much darker than I was expecting (I'm not familiar with the books) so I was quite surprised, but it was handled really beautifully.

Also I need a spin-off for Mr Ajayi and Mr Farouk :jonny5:

Hmm I'm only two episodes in but I'm kind of bored so far. :rip: I enjoyed the first two seasons, but I'm realizing that maybe I only enjoyed season 2 for the Mr Ajayi and Mr Farouk romance. And then season 1 for the novelty of this idealistic, innocent gay teen romance packed into a few episodes. Now that it's being dragged on for additional seasons, I just feel distant and not invested in the story. (And note: that's not me saying it's bad. I'm glad young queer people have positive representation to look to like this.)

Maybe now that I'm older and in a happy gay relationship myself, it just doesn't make me feel as much as some of the queer people who watch this show with a sort of wistful anemoia for not having been able to experience queer teen love themselves. That missed out experience is something I've already made peace with and so I don't carry any painful regret about it or need to fill that void. Also I recognize not everything needs to be for ME, but just saying the gay teachers subplot piques my interest much more! And I'm not trying to come across like those people who call this portrayal of queer teen love unrealistic either, like no I'm not begging Nick to get on Sniffies or Charlie to become a circuit gay or anything like that. I think this story CAN be a realistic high school experience nowadays and I'm glad we've gotten to a point where that's believable! I think I'm just trying to say, the show is CUTE; just doesn't do much more for me than that at the moment with these additional seasons but hey maybe my mind will change as I keep watching!

Just finished all the episodes. This was the best season so far, omg they did such a good job.

I'm always so sad when it ends because the seasons and episodes are short. I just want more!

They had a lot of heavy subjects that they covered, but they did it in such a respectful way.

Episodes 3 & 4 we're just WOW. Very heavy hitting. When Charlie and Nick go to Charlie's parents :cries:

Also the scenes with Charlie and Tori we're so emotional and real feeling. I'm happy she got more screen time this season and I hope they have her on more in season 4 as well, because her character is so special.

The last episode when her and Charlie have their moment on the ferris wheel, chiiiile the tears came rolling. You don't get to see much of how Tori feels or what she thinks about until this season, so I'm happy we got lots of her this time around.

Every episode had something that just brought the tears out, but this was by far the best season.

Back again for my obnoxiously long episode reviews :clown:

Ep 1:

Spoiler

So the fact that we are starting this season tonally how season 2 ended already has me nervous for how serious we are going to get this round. If there is one thing that I think season 2 nails better then season 1 is the somber and sad emotional beats and this episode is starting us off pretty strong!

Charlie being front and centre is already making me feel emotional watching him isolate from his friends and how he dealt with eating and the confrontation in the sea. Joe and Kit already nailing it acting wise trying to balance the profound love and concern they both have. :cries:

Already glad Isaac had a couple of nice moments throughout the episode, do I think the Aroace conversation was a bit heavy handed? Yes. Do I LOVE that we are exploring that representation in popular media? YES and even making a subtle joke about the struggles of trying to explain it as it's such an unexplored topic was very relatable. Charlie sending Isaac the definition to show he's trying to educate himself is soo cute.

Hope we aren't about to deal with another season of Sahar doing f*ck all because her development (and introduction) in S2 was pitiful. Sort of love how Taos desire for perfection is sort of a reflection of S2 Charlie trying to make everything perfect for Nicks coming out. Already suspicious of Darcy and Tara's storyline I fear they made that seem too easy a resolution. Nick bolting after Charlie half dressed, barefoot and soaked to go say I Love You was both incredible ridiculous AND cute as f*ck omg this show makes cheesiness so palatable :dies:Feel like I don't even have to mention it at this point but the set choices and cinematography is beautiful as always.

I've watched the first four episodes of season three, and I think it's better than season two, mainly because it has a stronger main storyline centered around Charlie's eating disorder. There's a suspense about what's going to happen next, which season two lacked.

I adore the sister character. The actress who plays her does a phenomenal job at conveying the sister's love for her struggling brother.

Finished the new season last night. It was great.

Glad the ending was done in a way that suggests there’ll be a fourth season to possibly wrap up the show.

I’d say this season ranks higher than season 2 because of the darker themes.

I am sorry but the 2 main guys have zero chemistry. It feels like Charlie is Nick's pet or something :toofunny3:
