Firstly, can I just publicly thank @NumbSoul for the kind and thoughtful support they’ve given me based on my posts having watched this amazing show.

Secondly, would anyone who is suffering from this “Heartstopper syndrome” having watched this show like to start a group chat on here with me? It’d be nice to create a safe space to share how we’re feeling; our experiences and anything that’s helped us overcome these intense feelings.

omg I would be up for that too!

I was hoping Ben kills himself in the finale but that would be too dark for this show's audience, huh?

Binged this tonight. Great second season, can tell they're building for a third especially with more heavy parts of the storylines developing.

I’m ok, thank you! Got lots going on atm, so don’t want to add another group chat into the mix. I appreciate the offer though! :heart2:

I wouldn't say I was hoping for it (:rip:), but I def thought that's where his storyline was headed. Him saying his family would never accept him, then getting told off by Charlie made me think he would feel desperate and alone and it would be the way for the show to address teen LGBT suicide.

Still on ep 3 :rip:Was a big fan of S1 but for some reason I haven't been able to get into season 2. It just all seems way more childish than last season and I was kinda expecting the opposite

Yeah I’m not a big fan of this season either. Apparently the general public isn’t either. The show left US Netflix top 10 rather quickly.

I know it's on different platform, but maybe Red, White & Royal Blue is stealing some of the thunder/Lgbtq+ audience now.

I am a little worried this fell out of the top 10 so soon (in the US).

I hope it's doing better in the UK, I want them to secure at least a 4th season to finish the story (even if the novel is not done yet)

Just finished S2 and this was seriously my biggest problem with the season :lmao: It was SO annoying seeing his friends hanging out and he was ignoring them and reading no matter what they were doing..... Walking down a street, touring a world-famous art museum, playing truth or dare, dancing at prom!! ENOUGH! It feels like a parody :lmao:

Glad to see I am not the only one bothered by that, they did that character so wrong for that, it was unbearable :rip:

It actually did better this time around in the US. For season 1 it only charted in the Top 10 for 4 days (at 9 for one day and 10 for three days). This season it charted for 9 days (at 2 for 6 days, 6 for one day, 7 for one day, 10 for one day). Would have been interesting to see how it would have done if Kit and Joe would have been able to do more press, especially in the US.

It's still doing well in the UK, where its performance is the most important. It's at 3 right now.

Worldwide, it's at 4, technically 3 because Netflix divides English and non-English shows and one of the shows ahead of it is in Spanish.

Overall, performing better than it did the first season, when it managed the two-season renewal.

Thanks for sharing this! Particularly great, as you said, with the cast not being able to do that much promo for the show. Glad to see it's outperforming the first season. :clap3:

Has anyone had what fans on Reddit call “Heartstopper syndrome” from watching this? I’ve never had a show affect me the way this had before :deadbanana4:

Yes, honestly after watching both seasons, it made me feel some kind of way. Both positive and negative feelings. I haven't ever had a show impact me so much before it's kind of weird...

The Children’s Emmys got rid of the guest category that Olivia won nn (now they’ll be able to compete in supporting). Wonder how this season will do next year.

I'm curious to see if a shiny new thing comes out by the time voting rolls around September 2024. They missed the deadline for this year (May 31), so they won't be competing this November. Bar something becoming a big sensation out of nowhere, I'm pretty sure Kit will win Lead again. I think Joe and Will will be nominated again. Yaz is a question mark because I could see her getting pushed out for Olivia.

Second week numbers are good, third-highest viewing figures and second-highest position out of the 5 weeks combined the show has charted so far WW.
