Frozen99 Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 they suffer from the Simpsons' 20th-24th (?) seasons, like, zapp got canceled, ok, what's funny about that. same with the covid episode, they just animated what actually happened and there was mostly no subversion of expectations. the "science spell" and random commercials was so messy 5th & 6th was a comeback to form, i was laughing throughout but these last two episodes were just meh. the previous seasons had LAYERS but here, everything's so surfaced and shallow, bender says one hatefully 'funny' thing and.. that's it. i love the series tho and will continue.
sunbathinganimal Posted August 12 Posted August 12 this show should have ended with the Comedy Central run I fear 1 1

The only problem I have with Hulu run is that it's trying to be so topical and political, and topics that they are covering are already dated. This is adventure fantasy show set in future, they can do with it whatever they want but they are chasing trends. Anyway, reception to episodes 2 and 3 were so much better so... 1

Xmas episode on the other hand was amazing. And I really like Momazon.

I've seen mostly very positive things about last 4 episodes, especially episode 5. People on reddit really liked it. I have yet to see episode 3. Second was fun but once again, too late to the party. Who gives a damn about squid game in 2024. Can they just stop chasing current topics, please writers.
sunbathinganimal Posted September 3 Posted September 3 not Starships being in the new episode what the **** happened to this show
NoAngelus Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Just watched 8th episode, the one with toys and honestly, might be best episode of season so far? Overall this season has been great except of first episode which I disliked, but after that, all hits. But I noticed one thing and it bothers me so much, Fry is barely even talking, nothing happens around him, which is a shame, because show used to revolve around him. But I think it might have to do something with the actor and his age/not being able to do much voice acting?
