it definitely felt just like old futurama which is great

 

i do wish they came back with a hard hitting episode though, this one didn’t feel like a ‘return’ even tho it was all about reboots

2nd EP was thankfully a lot better, & more old school Futurama

Aside from the recap, the first episode felt like a middle of the season episode. I don’t think it was strong enough to be an opener, despite being about streaming and binging. That could’ve turned some people off.

 

That being said, second episode was much better and wonderfully brought up old storylines.

I honestly really enjoyed the first episode, I love meta humour in general and even though they laid it on a bit thick, it was so much fun. The second episode was a tad weaker IMO, but that’s mainly because Leela was really out of character in a lot of moments. I also didn’t find it as funny, but granted that’s subjective.

Actually, I noticed this too but on both episodes. She felt dumbed down a bit. Didn’t like that.

That second episode was so boring. Imagine bringing a show back and having nothing interesting or new to say

I just started to watch futurama (in general) the only memories I really have of the show are getting scared when it would come on Cartoon Network as a child  I’m only on the third episode but it’s so funny. 
 

when the robo cop is attacking them and tells leela “hey eyeball, keep your big nose out of this” and she replies “no one makes fun of my nose”

That one and Fulu were both duds. Homer get iPad teas. The Amy episode was great, though.

the last two episodes, Momazon & the xmas one, were so far the funniest and finally felt like futurama episodes, made me so effing excited for the following "rage against the vaccines"

I agree that the last couple of episodes felt more like Futurama and I loved them.

This season has been mostly duds…you’d think after so many years off they could muster up something more consistent but it’s on par with when it got cancelled before.
