the sabotaging pre-written 0-20 score reviews aren't coming until the sites that did not get codes are done pretending to be done playing.

I literally bought an xbox series s just to play this game. Im not sure if I like it yet though. I'm still early (just got to hogsmeade). The weird thing is, I enjoy playing it but I don't feel addicted to it. I can easily go without playing it... not sure what that means.

Does it look good? :jonny5:

I have a month to decided about getting a Series S or a Series X.

I know Series X is the one to go but I'm not at home for months, so it feels like I'm wasting too much money on something I will be able to use only on a few weekends and on holidays (and if I go somewhere with a TV, there's no way it's gonna be a 4K one).

Don't know what that Wired reviewer was trying to achieve, but I'm sure they will get the exact opposite outcome. :rip:

All those people encouraging a boycott clearly fail to realize this won't hurt the game. On the contrary.

Now that the novelty has worn off.. I’m starting to get bored and the negatives are outweighing the positives I think… :gaycat6:

Longer rant, no spoilers:

Spoiler

The world and people both feel so lifeless and the tasks are repetitive. You can not interact with anyone beyond some scripted quests. People don’t even react when you cast spells on them. :rip: You can’t really interact with the world beyond repetitive checklist objectives. The world doesn’t really feel very lively.

Quests don’t flow at all. It’s never clear what you’re supposed to do next from cutscenes so you have to look in your log. The switching between weapon wheels in combat feels very clunky. I’m also constantly running out of space which means I have to travel to Hogsmeade every 10 minutes to sell my stuff.  The map being broken up in sections makes navigating it for fast travel feel painfully slow.

Even things like the Forbidden Forest don’t feel interesting at all. There’s just not much to engage with except for some treasure chests. It’s not like the PS1 game where the professors are patrolling the forest entrance. You go through 12 day/night cycles there just completing some side quest and no one bats an eyelash. I haven’t set a foot inside the Ravenclaw Room since the start of the game either. It all just feels so artificial, and yet.. maybe not scripted enough? Honestly, the game is starting to feel like any random checklist open world game with a lick of Harry Potter nostalgia covering all of its flaws.. and then again, they didn’t even include iconic stuff like Dementors, Patronus, Quidditch, Diagon Alley, the accurate Hogwarts staircase and so on.

Also, do they ever explain why you start in your fifth year and are supposedly better at magic than anyone else despite not knowing a single spell until a few days ago? :rip: I don’t know. I don’t want to drop this, but I am quite disappointed. Sometimes it just feels like they didn’t create this world to actually make you feel like you’re living in it, but to let you look at the set pieces.

The game kinda went from an 8-9 to a 6-7.

It’s stated at the beginning of the game that Professor Fig was tutoring the OC before the start of the school year.

Why is the vibrator reviewer reviewing this? :bibliahh:

Posted

I don't understand the anti-HL movement when this game is pretty inclusive and trans characters can be made and there is an actual canon trans character in the game too

Like JK herself could be seething at the game as we speak

I just don't like the far right using this game as ammo or claiming it for themselves (although seeing them SUFFER when they see POC/LGBT characters is a kii)

The devs aren't transphobic, the actors aren't transphobic, everyone else besides JK (who didn't contribute)

And I'm also thinking of trans people who feel like they can't join in the fun themselves

They should also be free to play whatever the **** they want without any guilt or baggage right? Sort of reclaiming the world for themselves?
