The premiere was kinda bad….maybe this could have benefited from a two hour premiere but this first episode didn’t have me hooked. 
 

Emma’s character is lowkey annoying ajsks idk why….like I know we’re supposed to suspend belief with this show but them really teasing that Emma’s character is in consideration for Oscar’s   and her being this big deal, covering high profile magazines when she’s such a plain jane, especially next to Kim.

 

Kim’s character the best so far, she was the only one giving funny lines and being bitchy in a fun way, everyone else was zzzz
 

The pregnancy storyline….idk we’ve kind of already had it in AHS, if she gives birth to something supernatural it might seem a bit reductive. Also Emma’s character doesn’t seem to even want a baby so idk why we’re supposed to feel sorry for her or w/e

The dialogue expedition the entire first half made me laugh so much, them just explaining everything that has happened

Ig it's trying to give a slow-burn mystery vibe like Murder House & Cult? but those obviously had good first episodes so idk

 

Also are they literally in NYC again after the last season was called NYC despite it not being the main factor of the story? if they had guts they would have honestly called it AHS: HIV or AHS: Gays & The City

I've never watched AHS before (only watching for Kim lol) so I don't really know what to expect but that premiere was so... boring. And I've watched other shows by Ryan before like Scream Queens and Glee and they weren't this underwhelming. I'm gonna watch the next few episodes but if it continues like this I think I'll tune out.

if you are interested, watch the first 3 seasons. Pretend the rest didn't happen

Ryan is not involved with this season. Someone else took over as the showrunner.

The first three seasons are so cozy. I wish AHS had kept that small, creepy Halloween vibe.

Honestly strong and without weird gimmicks. Kimberly acting good is SURPRISING. She's miles better than other celebrities like Selena Gomez

That episode was much better than the first one. A two-part premiere would've been perfect for this season: the first episode sets up the characters but the second one gets the ball rolling.

 

Also, that scene with Kim and Emma dancing and singing in front of the mirror

i get what they're trying to do. thinking you're going ******* insane is probably one of the scariest thing.

 

but why does it feel like they've done this exact story already in AHStories?  or maybe i'm thinking of another show
