Hans. Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 great trailer I expect I see you part 2 with the score they're using
Eóghan Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 This trailer does nothing for me Although Avatar was ahead of it's time, this lowkey looks dated now. I'm so over the CGI fest, there's no immersion on my part. I'm gonna reverse my judgement for the cinema experience because it might still blow me away in the right circumstances. And who knows even if it's disappointing on a technical point of view the story might be amazing which is the most important. Avatar was a forgettable movie for me because the story was lacking.
X~MoviePoP Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Anyways. The movie looks amazing and will look so cool in IMAX. I wanna know whose doing the lead song so bad. I feel like it's ariana grande, kelly clarkson, celine dion, olivia rodrigo or even lianna sings
Vin Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 The trailer has beautiful imagery but @ the Neytiri implications. I know nothing about the storyline, but the trailer is making it seem as if Neytiri died, which I'm already not a fan of. Neytiri was a strong female protagonist in the first film, so why is she crying or distressed in 95% of her scenes in the trailer? And why does generic JAKE, a fake Na'vi, have to tell Neytiri, the one who trained him, to have a "strong heart"? I don't know, it seems as if they are bastardizing the character of Neytiri, making her a suburban wife who says things like, "This is our home!" Meanwhile, Jake can be the generic male hero and go off and save the world like every other generic film. I'll give James Cameron the benefit of the doubt, though. ...Vin
truthteller Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 i guess i have to rewatch the 1st one like i totally forgot about the plot already

I kind of agree tbh. I remember really enjoying the original and being blown away by it, but it wasn't something I was ever that fussed about revisiting. However watching this trailer didn't really do anything for me. I thought it looked beautiful, but I wasn't particularly enthralled by it. I'll obviously still go and watch it though and maybe it'll be more impactful on a huge screen.
Da Vinci Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 AWFUL poster Even the teaser poster was better, what is up with that weird aspect ratio and cropping of Jake's forehead I guess they focused on the lovers (including that new one they teased in the trailer) but it looks weird Anyway it seems like there's gonna be a LOT (both story and visuals) to take in, way more than the first one Which I think will cause huge repeat viewings (like Titanic and the first Avatar) It seems like they're also teasing that Sigourney's teenage character is connected to Eywa (their female deity) and will have some sort of power? The biggest problem I think is how they can make the audience tell who's who There's so many new characters and they're all alien which will make it hard to remember which is which Even just Jake's new family, they have 3 biological children and a couple more adopted ones plus all the other kids from other tribes and they haven't even shown the human kid with the dreadlocks
Lost In Paradise Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 I'm sorry they waited too long this movie better have an insane twist or crazy sequence because right now it's giving National Geographic snooze
flower moon Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 looks beautiful. im actually so excited love that the trailer shows so much but i dont know what its about.
Jude Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 The way there's barely any improvement on the CGI part of the movie I-
ATRL Moderator Bloo Posted November 3, 2022 ATRL Moderator Posted November 3, 2022 24 minutes ago, Jude said: The way there's barely any improvement on the CGI part of the movie I- The innovation of this movie is the underwater motion capture. While that is technically impressive, the vast majority of people are not going to be taken away by it in the way the first movie captured people because of its graphical fidelity.
Da Vinci Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Not people judging the CGI with the 2D compressed YouTube trailer Everyone who saw the full scenes in theaters at the end of the Avatar re-release were blown away and said they were way better than the original's CGI
KFC Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 I still think it's very weird how Jake just abandoned being human

GraceRandolph Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 The new trailer looks so video game’d to me.
Cannon Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 (edited) I haven't felt this excited for a movie in a long time. The music in the trailer is beautiful. Edited November 11, 2022 by Cannon
Da Vinci Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 I think people are underestimating the opening weekend for this It won't be a No Way Home/Endgame event where people are dead set on avoiding spoilers, it'll probably be like Jurassic World (2015) or Incredibles 2 on steroids This franchise doesn't have a Marvel/Star Wars sized fanbase but there are many people who waited a decade for this The first one opened modestly but had insane legs cause it was an original film with no pre-existing fanbase and wasn't based on a book/comic book or whatever, this sequel shouldn't be compared to that performance, especially the legs
flower moon Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 some beautiful new shots. i cant get over how realistic the water looks. Like that one shot of the one guy coming out of the water and it running off him or when they blow bubbles underwater
