DEADLINE: ‘Titanic’: Remastered Version Set For Theatrical Release In Time For Valentine’s Day 2023 Not James Cameron sabotaging James Cameron just so he can make more money and so that all his $2B movies can keep growing and outgrossing each other. Can't wait for the inevitable Avatar rerererelease that takes it to $3B. TWOW will definitely get a re-release in China once COVID is done there, and I'm sure we'll get another "extended cut" release somewhere down the line before Avatar 3. But in all honesty, what James Cameron is doing is just on another level. He will soon have not 1, not 2, but 3 +$2Billion films, including the highest grossing movie of all time, and what used to be the highest grossing movie of all time (Titanic). The facts that he is being able to this for the third time in a row. This is madness. It's witchcraft.

BNF91 Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 Already the 7th biggest film of all-time in Europe, $423M in 2.5 weeks. Will leap to #4 by next weekend. Pass #3 The Force Awakens ($578M) in a couple weeks. Also seems like it'll have enough left to pass Titanic ($665M) to reach #2, just behind.... the first Avatar. Jimmy has Europe by the weave

Now with 3 weeks to itself until The Wandering Earth, I think it can go to $250M+. It's Monday presales are already as big, if not bigger than it's first Monday.

Could reach $2.2B and surpass Titanic, becoming the 3rd highest grossing movie of all time just behind Avatar and Endgame. China + Russia could've catapulted this to the 2.6-3B range A4 & A5 are 100% happening atp. 2 movies in the top 3 oop
Gaia Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Even as a huge Avatar fan I didn't think it'd be at almost 1.5B by New Year I'm shook.
futurenostalgic Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 not me wasting my data roaming charges just to get Avatar box office updates what date was the original prediction for reaching 1.4-1.5 B?
BNF91 Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Sunday domestic number becoming clearer. Looks like it might jump up +$3M to a $24M Sunday. Would mean Monday also increases by maybe $2, 2.5M. Black Panther's #3 of all-time $66M 3rd wknd still in reach. Overseas will have some decent increases as well. Won't be surprised if the actuals are like $10M higher globally.

The Chain in my neck of the world, was so busy I asked one of the clerks what people were there to see, he said Avatar. Needless to say, I was so thrilled at all these additional funds coming to James Cameron (Avatar) lol
