It was long but I honestly really enjoyed the down time where it was obvious Cameron just wanted to flex.

Rewatched the first film yesterday and saw this today, and really enjoyed both. Kiri is the new queen of this franchise, excited to see more of her.

For comparisons, how much did Marvel movies do that in their particular weekend? :fan:

All that doom and gloom from opening weekend eradicated. Avatar is having some of the best 2nd week grosses of all-time in the US/Canada.

6th biggest 2nd Monday of all-time

4th biggest 2nd Tuesday of all-time

3rd biggest 2nd Wednesday of all-time

and they laughed when, during the opening weekend, we said just wait, it'll leg up :toofunny3: insane stats

Why act like y’all getting the coins in ur bank account with the constant stats?

I thought that this was excellent. Seeing the original Avatar in the theater is one of my favorite movie memories, but I wasn’t super excited going into this one because it has been so long since the the first one. I fell right back into the world, though, and was really transported just like with the first one. I’m excited to see what the next movies have to offer.

It was also nice to see a movie in 3D again. 3D can be such a great tool when it is used effectively.

Wait. I meant to post that Babylon box office number in Babylon thread and I can't edit that post anymore :deadbanana4:

Anyway, given the current trajectory, I think TWOW will stay atop at #1 for 3 more weeks.

Cause we like numbers and tracking box office. It a thing and it's exciting. This whole site is about stanning for these popgirls' success the same way and they don't know you exist so..

Exactly lol like... tf?

I saw it yesterday.

And not only did I not remember a film that was so crowded 2 weeks in... But I didn't remember the days when films ended and people started clapping...

Yesterday they did.

I loved it. (let me say that I actually think that nothing happened...) but visually it's insane and it sets the tone for the trilogy that is arriving together these years.
