Hector Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 (edited) Third episode is so good! I love the documentary style format and the black and white cinematography is impeccable Acting is top notch as usual. Jessica Lange slaying the end of the episode Edited February 8 by Hector
Tudors Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Just binged the first 3 episodes. This is kinda boring. Don't like the main character and find is voice and acting grating. Such a shame I rewatched the first season so many times over the years 1
Hector Posted February 15 Author Posted February 15 A good emotional episode this week. Loved Truman's scenes with Jack, John's daughter and with the Swans. Glad Truman dumped O'Shea finally.
monologueNacafe Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I like this but I was expecting more MESS. The “feud” aspect is kind of weak 1
Hector Posted February 22 Author Posted February 22 Good episode. The way it went from rock bottom to intervention to resurrection was well done. The scenes where he clocks the swans in his stories were a kii
Moloko Plus Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Tears rolling down my face at the end of episode 4. This is everything and more, I can’t!!!
BeachRat Posted February 22 Posted February 22 another excellent episode as expected. i’m such a fan of James Baldwin, it was so nice seeing him portrayed. 5/5 so far. 1
monologueNacafe Posted February 23 Posted February 23 (edited) I'm kind of growing increasingly indifferent as I keep watching. It's not exactly boring but I'm not enthralled either. We're meant to sympathize with some of these people and I don't really care about any of them. I'm not understanding what you all are seeing. Edited February 23 by monologueNacafe 3 1
Leptine Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I honestly forgot this started, this season is not making any noise and the reviews are not very enthuastic, however I'm gonna check it.

ctlp27 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 1.01 Very strong first episode. Very Gus in a way. Hollander seems great in a role that is always risky. Naomi will give Jodie a run for her money next year at the Emmy's!
Hector Posted February 29 Author Posted February 29 Latest episode was so good. Truman landing that hot ass handyman for a lover only to lose him within that same episode The scenes with the Swans were juicy as hell too.
BeachRat Posted February 29 Posted February 29 this is pure excellence. every episode so far has been a 10/10. i think next weeks is gonna be the saddest of them all and Naomi Watts will get her emmy for it. as deserved. but honestly i have a lot to say and can sense an essay pouring out of me after the finale. it’s so heartbreaking and beautiful and raw. 1
Hector Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 What a sad character arc for Babe And an acting showcase from Naomi Watts. This will be the episode that gets her that Emmy nomination. Good episode showcasing the relationship between her & Capote as well. SEASON FINALE next week already

BeachRat Posted March 7 Posted March 7 (edited) very heartfelt although it felted a bit rush for Spoiler both of them to die in the same episode but kinda poetic in the way. and emphasised the relationship. i have so mush to say, but will wait for it to be over first. gays and their *** hags till the end! and lastly but not least, Jennifer Lynch ate the direction of the episode. i really felt the lynchian element. monologueNacafe Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Watching episode 7 and Im at the part in the hospital and for a second I thought Truman was quoting from the titanic Spoiler "Jack...I'm so cold."
monologueNacafe Posted March 7 Posted March 7 They are all so boring, empty, and shallow people. I normally cry at everything but I had nothing. I'm not sure what didn't click for me. Amazing acting though. 1
spiritboy Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Naomi Watts and Tom Hollander should be nominated and win Emmy’s for their roles. Especially Tom. What Capote did was unforgiveable in my opinion, I wouldn’t forgive him if i was in Babe’s shoes even though in the series it feels like she is feeling guilty for abandoning him. 1

I mean he made a good point that they're all mean girls, very dismissive and perhaps racist? So... the hypocrisy speaks for itself. That said, it was a public character assasination and what I didn't enjoy was that the "feud" was weak (let's just not speak to him, ice him out.) That's all you got? I mean it's steeped in reality and not a fictional drama but that's boring. One of the girls CZ stayed in close contact with him anyway and played both sides without anyone hating her for it, so what's the point? the show is a bore plain and simple, but yes Naomi is excellent in it. 1
