Bruno is on fire  :deadbanana2:

I don't think Uruguay are going to make it out of this group. maybe if they had a different opponent in their last match, but not against Ghana who will be out for blood given their history :gaycat6:

Those last few minutes of Bruno :priceless:

Happy for Portugal :wave2:

I ******* love Palhinha. Also, 40yo Pepe bossing this game, barely breaking a sweat.

YES. He needs to start, he cleans the entire midfield by himself. The game ended when Palhinha came on.

I wish too but I’m sure they’re going to try to win so they can get 1st place in the group and play Switzerland, Serbia or Cameroon. If they lose and get 2nd place they’re going to have to play Brazil so they’re going to do everything to avoid that :gaycat6:

I’m still praying for the other Asian teams though

CR7 still complaining at the end of the game that they didn't give the goal to him  :deadbanana2:

Why did they put two games in the same time today?

they always schedule the matches like this on the last day of the group stage. they do it like that so that the teams in each group don’t know the exact score they need to qualify before they go into the match, and don’t put in no effort if they already know based on the results of the other match in the group they’re guaranteed to not qualify or not qualify.

this is a good explanation with historic examples of why they instituted the rule https://sportstar.thehindu.com/football/fifa-world-cup/news/fifa-world-cup-group-stage-match-timings-why-same-time-together-simultaneous-disgrace-of-gijon/article66196302.ece/amp/

To avoid possible frauds since the final classified teams are decided this week.

Let's say a team losing on purpose to manipulate the results of the other game of the group for example

For example If I was Spain (and I knew Germany will score 5 or less goals against Costa Rica) I would let Japan to win to avoid Brazil in the future and also a strong team like Germany would be eliminated.

But since both games are at the same time Spain can't do that because If Germany scores 7 goles against Costa Rica and Spain loses against Japan, then Spain would be eliminated.

Which games are everyone watching?? What situation would cause Netherlands to be eliminated?

As long as Netherlands don't lose, they're going through. If they tie or win they'll go through.

but would it depend on senegal vs ecudaor too? or is it they lose, they're out?

Netherlands will definitely go through as long as they don't lose to Qatar, but whether they get 1st or 2nd place in the group does depend on Senegal vs. Ecuador. There's too many different possibilities of what could happen to quickly summarize, but it's definitely in Netherlands' best interest to win (and by as much as possible) to try to get 1st place and avoid having to play England. If Netherlands get 1st place then they will probably play USA or Iran next.

They would only be eliminated if Senegal wins and Qatar wins (but I doubt Qatar is winning against Netherlands lol)
