Did we ever find out what the secret project Scarlet Johansson is producing was?

Maybe I need to see Thunderbolts again bc (yes I liked it but) I really don't think the massive amount of hype was warranted. Lack of real 3rd act and cheesy nature of the finale and some moments brought me out of the experience. I still liked it better than Brave New World, and there was nothing I would change about it per se. I think the hype is really what set me up w unrealistic expectations…

Not yet, last piece of news we had was that her project was a Disney+ series and it was put on hold when the writers strike happened.

Thunderbolts deserves it critically and fan reception in my opinion. It delivers everything marvel fans been asking marvel to get back to for the last several years.

I actually been hearing this from others too. That the Denzel magneto rumors is a distraction put out by marvel. Also we know Coogler has Denzel in BP3 and he confirmed he is gonna retire after that movie and some plays. But DDL is the most acclaimed actor alive. Lmfao. Yall think he gonna come out of retirement for a marvel movie?

I wonder what are they gonna do with Magneto. At the very core he is a character who has known extermination and persecution in his life and therefore reacts radically to the perspective of a new segregation, however we are now in 2024, so him having experience this as a Holocaust survivor does not longer fit the timeline as he should be between 90 and 100 years old to fit the timeline.

I honestly do not see how they could play with this other than by making him part of a minority or persecuted group, which would subsequently have people crying forced inclusion.

They are plucking the X-men from another dimension. Just like they did with Wolverine in Deadpool. So magneto will still experience the holocaust but just from another universe. At least that's the only way I see it going. I don't think marvel is gonna swap or switch thier races after realizing how many of the marvel fans are bigots and cry woke everytime they see a black person or female on screen.

Just look at Ironheart, if they put a white boy in that same suit they wouldn't complain at all. I see so many TikTok comments of people saying they should strip Sam of the shield and give it to John walker almost as if thier isn't an entire Disney+ series about why Sam was chosen over him. Marvel fans can't accept change, even when it's comic accurate. They are also hypocrites when they say keep politics out of my super hero content, even tho politics and social justice is the main point of X-men. Can't make this up.

A shame Thunderbolts is slowing down in the box office, even tho its hands down the best produced movie in several years for marvel studios

but I guess there was only so much marketing can do for these tv level hero's no one outside of the fandom knows. Oh well it's still a success for bringing the highest critical and fan reception to a MCU film.
