ugh when i need to farm froxs they are never around

the radar in this game is tragic and should have larger range for big creatures :coffee2:

i also miss strategy guides because some of these sites are LYING about the locations of some of these froxes  Scamtendo not doing strategy guides for this game feels like leaving money on the table

And it feels cheaper than the BotW one. :skull:

I'm sorry, as someone who didn't play BotW, I didn't like this game. It was simply TOO much. I felt lost and overwhelmed once I got down from the sky and I don't have a lot of motivation to continue/I don't even really know where to go. I wanted to love this game, but it was too difficult for me to fully delve into.

Idk cause I didn't open it, but why aren't you just using mapgenie? I'm sure the locations aren't wrong.

Right? I gasped when I saw how small it is compared to BOTW's :skull:

I mean, this makes complete sense. This game is a lot for me and I played BOTW for 200 hours. But that’s why it’s so good, in my opinion. They were able to expand the world so much so that completionists from the first game still have near endless stuff to explore. That’s insane. I would recommend just trying BOTW first if you want to get the hype of these games. It’s a massive game but is much more manageable.

I feel exactly the same, I played BOTW in 2021 and was hooked, I did like 60h (which is a lot for me) and I was expecting this one but it feels overwhelming, more difficult and bigger but at the same thing exactly the same and uninspired?? The powers are cool but also annoying to keep mixing stuff and I’ll try to give it another go but overall the first one felt fresh and exciting and this feels like the deluxe version of that game.

Is it recommended to play BOTW before starting to play TOTK (in terms of storytelling)?

Still so mad about this. The way the first thing i did was jump into that massive whirlpool in Hylia bridge, only to be sent to a cave :grump:

I beated Ganondorf, got all the final cinematics, and boom, back to the main menu and my last save.

Nothing changes, except the fact that a star appears on my last save, and I have my progression of the game (43% lol)

Is that... it ?

Watch a recap of the first game and just play ToTK. You will easily get burnt out playing both. :rip: ToTK to me felt like the same game with $70 expansion pass.

The stories aren’t very connected, infact a lot of the botw stuff isn’t mentioned or it’s absence isn’t explained which is odd. I’d play botw first however as it’s good to get to know the map when it was a bit more exciting.

After two months I finally completed the game. I had to take a few breaks in between. While the game was not bad by any means, it just didn't quite live up to the hype. I preferred BotW, everything felt new and there was so much to discover. TotK felt like the same thing all over again. Sure, there was a lot of content, but it was nothing I haven't seen before. The cutscenes were nice, the new abilities were a cool idea and the final battle was fun, but other than that it felt like any other AAA game and not one that particularly appealed to me. Even with the added depths, sky islands, caves and wells it wasn't enough to get me excited. Once you see one cave or visit one sky island you've seen them all. An entirely new map, different enemies and a different story structure with the sages probably would have fixed most of my issues with the game because it really was all just recycled from BotW.

I know I'm late but I finished the water temple. What in Mario Sunshine was that boss? :deadbanana2:

yeah, it was the same in BotW. i'm not TOO miffed abt there being no proper "postgame", i just wish there was a way for the final main quests (defeat ganondorf, and find princess zelda) to STAY crossed out :gaycat6:

Just bought the game and finished the second shrine. I feel like im still very much at the beginning where ur introduced to the world, especially since Im.obviously still at 3 hearts which means i havent made any real progress so far. The game is insanely expansive and I love the way its actually a game that requires wit.

I'm so behind but I've played for 115 hours and I'm not even at the 1st temple yet. I'm close tho:jonny2:

I haven't found anything too difficult yet. I have 7 hearts and beat 2 Lynels which I struggled with in BOTW. I never have a problem with running out of items. I usually have about 500+ arrows. There are multiple hints at how to proceed with the story which I appreciate. The world is so huge and overwhelming at times but I'm taking one area at a time.

And I'm still waiting on my TOTK guidebook. Amazon hasn't shipped it yet :rip:

That temple was a disaster. Not fun and satisfying to complete at all. And just wait till you get to the boss.
