I'm surprised a video so negative, (with a lot of over exaggeration, but also a lot of truth) has a 95% like ratio :matty: On a channel that was built upon Zelda content no less.

I cannot believe Nintendo had the audacity to make Sage abilities activate when I walk up to them and interact with them instead of some kind of hot key system

nintendo devs instance on teaching gamers "patience" is the worst thing about them. Such archaic design policy that really only lives within them :rip:

cant wait to see how they justify that :)

that being said

no horse travel is kind of the best so :clownny:

i was wondering if they were ever goin to explain the geoglyphs or if it was just gonna be shenanigans that will stay unexplained but Impa telling me it was random ancient Hylians that have drawn them out after touching the dragon tears and having visions is ok by me

ill-take-it.gif

anyway that's the dragon tears done, now I can get the master sword

I flew out the little girl by air balloon to Gerudo, but I've been there, killed the boss, but couldn't find where she landed...

Nnn :jonny: The amount of times I’ve accidentally been near Yunobo and fired him off might literally make me scream. :toofunny3:

the last 2 "master kohga" fights were so fun, especially the one on the water

i really enjoyed that kohga quest overall, i liked that it was more spread out than BoTw but even then the Yiga as a whole are also more involved in so many subquests, even if it's just for the laughs rather than a real threat. kohga's exit

i'm at 10 "schema stones" and i don't know why but i'm always amazed by the little tutorial that follows the construct giving you the stone. there's always a little path with enemies or obstacle specifically made for that device and you have to do your own demonstration to get to the chest with "large crystalized charges". i get a kick out of it everytime because the zonai build always work like a charm.

I am not going to 100% this by the time ff16 comes out. :rip:

I only explored like 25% of the depths and I hate going down there, it's so boring and the same ugly aesthetic. I would rather have them use resources to expand the sky islands or change Hyrule a little more.

I’m currently playing FF16 and it’s kinda everything I’d want from a Zelda game :jonny: Nintendo should get inspired by them.  Playing that after TOTK feels like going from 1995 to 2030

"crisis at hyrule castle"? I've also just done it.

I wish I hadn't already explored the castle from A to Z a month ago because it felt repetitive. I only have myself to blame

and now I'm onto the "ring ruins" quest and I feel like it's goin to lead me right to the "dragonhead islands" that I already explored when it was pitch black weeks ago :toofunny3:

I do love how they repurposed the mysterious Faron ruins from BoTw.

Just did "Crisis at Hyrule Castle" and "Ring Ruins" yesterday.  Worked my way into the depths and noticed I had been there before.  Only this time, I actually get to complete the limb rooms.

Time for that Spirit Temple.

This game made me like Zelda (the character) more than the previous one did...

I think I just don't love her voice but she means well:bird:

it's just the dramatic "Link...." for me :bibliahh:

I did the same thing thinking the gloom would be healed before the final fight. I was struggling with 6 hearts. :deadbanana:

Interesting, we knew the Underground was a reflection of the Land, but 7:04 basically confirms the base of the Underground was auto generated, & the devs just placed things to decorate the area. With the sky being barren, the underground being auto generated, & the land being reused, why did TOTK take over 6 years :rip:

TLDW: Rito's perch is reflected underground, but the devs put a mine above it to cover the random deep hole.

It kind of made the fight more thrilling honestly! I didn't mess with gloom elixirs or anything the whole game (because if you really needed to you could just teleport out of the depths) but I was down to 3 hearts right before

Spoiler

fighting ganon

my skyward sword Demise flashbacks pulled me through

Posted

yeah "demise" was a *****, on my second playthrough of skyward sword I died even more times than the first. I don't think a zelda boss ever felt more like a FromSoft boss than this one

i'm only talking 3d zeldas of course, 2d zeldas are a league of their own

huh maybe the game-breaking physics/abilities that you didn't connect with?

I mean I'm listening to tons of popular video game podcast that reviewed the game, and a few of them always invite people from the video game industry to the table (game dev and designer from different studios) to provide some expertise and I was shocked how all of them were just in awe of this game and didn't understand why this game wasn't just a broken mess riddled with bugs and was instead just smooth sailing. i remember this one game dev in particular who used to work on "assassin's creed" games that went on a 20 minutes tirade about how ascend was just insanity and nightmare-inducing from a workload point.

so yeah it's not far-fetched to see where the 6 years went, especially when we know that the game was actually finished a year ago and they were just sitting on it with 1 year of just polishing the physics.

I constantly see people complaining about being overwhelmed by the amount of content in this game, can you imagine if the Zelda team actually focused during 6 years on making content instead of testing/polishing the gameplay ... now I don't know if that's what I really want.

nnn mess I did the same thing I was noT prepared for that fight at all, I didn’t bring any gloom healing meals and accidentally triggered the cut scene to start the final fight when I was trying to fuse some weapons :deadbanana2: I finished the boss fight with half a heart left I was stressed

I like when final bosses are like this though. I felt so accomplished way back when I beat skyward sword, and the 1 on 1 with Ganon was giving that for me

Spoiler

the adrenaline rush when I was in the sky after and realized I could restore my hearts before taking him down in dragon form...period
