I definitely could've done with more puzzles re: shrines and dungeons. Like, the amount of shrines that were just the same variation of "bring the crystal here" and then there's no actual puzzle in the shrine? A bummer for sure.

I also noticed some shrines are VERY similar to each other. Like few times I had legit deja vu.

Is anyone else kind of bored? :skull:

I’m torn with it. Sometimes I really enjoy it but then other times I’m like I’ve been here and done this with BOTW. :rip: Because at the end of the day the games aren’t THAT different. The scope of the game is humongous(and a lil overwhelming at times) so that also kinda impacts my motivation for exploring a bit.

The negativity on this page :deadbanana2: Speaking on the overworld design specifically, if u separated the BOTW designed parts of the overworld, with TOTK, It feels like 2 different teams designed them. The Sky & Depths completely lose the complexity of what made the base world so interesting to explore.

I'm also taking a break from the game :rip: after I completed the water temple I stopped playing, maybe im kind of burnout because im exploring the map according to what the Heros Path shows, so practically im not leaving any space in the map unexplored :rip: but thats totally my fault

I'm baffled by the number of people that spent hundreds of hours into this game and still haven't touched valuable items

like this guy on reddit who finished the game with 600 zonaite and still didn't know what to do with them.

the other day I was watchin this streamer fight a fire gleeok for half an hour, he was overpowered and yet it took him that long because he didn't think once to use icefruits (or ice weapons) :deadbanana4:

there's also this video released today

the comment section being full of people who never used "dazzlefruits" :hoetenks:

like how the **** did they get through the gerudo portion of the story? did they just walk around the gidbos or just exclusively use Riju's help? what a waste of time lmao ...

reading skills guys. reading skills.

Well to be fair, the game does hardly nothing to incentivize combat; yes, Gibdos are very easy to kill (set on fire, then one hit of sword), but it's far faster to just run around them :rip:

Because there's no XP, the only reason to fight anything in the game is to farm parts for upgrades. But let's be honest: most people won't ever touch 75% of their gear once the find the 2-3 sets they like best. So even then, unless you're trying to upgrade everything, there's no need to fight 90% of the enemies.

I'm 70 hours in and just got my first dragon tear! I'm gonna explore the area around the second tower I activated then head towards the 1st dungeon :duca:

I have so much to explore :deadvision: ill probably go back to The Depths after that.

Made it to Forgotten Temple and I love this. It's like classic Zelda meets Assassin's Cred or Arkham Asylum. I had to take a break from this game too but I'm back to having fun again.

I found the perfect balance for my play session every day. my goal is to always do a little bit of sky, a little bit of surface and a little of dephts. I don't find myself burned out anymore, now that i don't concentrate on one map. the variety keeps me engaged.

also I don't find the gameplay loop in the depths as boring as other people. It's actually where I have the most fun with creating mech with "Ultrahand" since there's so much stuff lying around. in the sky I only use Autobuild because all my flying builds are always huge failures :deadbanana:. so i just stick to the 2 very simple builds that I saved, they've done me right, they cheese everything in the sky :gaycat1:

ps: found my first gacha dispenser with "hover stone" yesterday. let's just say i don't even bother with that Hudson fanatic anymore :dies:

A 10/10 means it’s perfect. You really think that attempt at a story is good in the first place? That a huge map where you can spend days „exploring =D“ but can only find shrines or koroks is an interestingly designed open world? :rip: Where simply entering a shrine, getting a heart or stamina container takes ages cause nintendo is still stuck in the 90s. Where the big bad has zero presence in the game? I mean most games get rightfully criticized for one-dimensional villains, but ganondorf is not even dimensional, just straight up FLAT.

yeah, if this weren’t released by Nintendo this would definitely be in the 60s to 70s. Not bad, but also not great at all.

i'll say this I do love how there's so much more npcs and how they are interwoven  across Hyrule. that thing was seriously lacking in BoTw. i know BoTw was more of a lonely adventure in a deserted post-apocalyptic hyrule but still.

like just now I was looking for a girl in gerudo town for a specific side quest and I've stumbled into the little "Mattison" which was a super cute quest in tarey town I've done 30 hours ago and then the next girl I talk to is "Aliza", a girl from hateno which I freed from the Yiga Clan even more in the past. like you forget about it but you get reminded. it's the little things like that who make a game more memorable imo.

I’ve been playing this game almost everyday since launch but I haven’t found all the shrines yet  some of these caves take forever to finish

The fact that I flew her up to Gerudo Town, went there, did the Temple thing, and didn't see her landing yet is making me a bit anxious tbh

It looks like the TOTK guidebook got delayed to July 7th btw
