I've done 2 temples so far and a bit of stuff in the depths but I still feel so useless! Not finding any good weapons or fuse material even after beating some overworld bosses. Any tips? I have like 8 or 9 hearts but I'm still getting wrecked by every enemy. Also I keep running out of arrows and it's so annoying.

Fly to Hyrule Castle via Lookout Landing. You may need an Endura Carrot or something else that'll increase your stamina a bit. Then just ransack the place. There are so many high-level weapons, bows, armour, etc.

Other than that I'd suggest landing on dragons via the sky towers and looting them for fuse material or exploring the depths a bit for the same. You can also get certain armour sets fairly early in the game that'll help, like the Fierce Deity set.

I skipped a lot of the area for fire temple too :bibliahh:

Also, it bothers me that Link is not telling anyone about what happened to Zelda even though we already knew with the tears thing:deadbanana4:. Ganondorf really thought he one upped me :bibliahh:

Not ascend working on Taluses :rip:

i wish the ghost/spirits of the sages also talked so legend of Xenoblade could be even more complete

Just completed the dragon tears, it really is hard to do it in order, but even so did no one else find the story very obvious from early on?

Spoiler

It’s literally mentioned in like memory 3…and it’s super depressing that now she’s just a big ugly dragon…love the game but couldn’t one of the others who were dying have just swallowed it.

did you fall asleep while doing it? the master sword needed to absorb light. :bibliahh:

anyway I managed to kill a gleeok without cheesing it. it was epic. :WAP:

the water temple was such a joke :deadbanana4: I've done harder shrines than that.

Not me coming to this thread with the same question :deadbanana4:

I think I'll do the final battle soon and then call it a day... Side quests are boring af

Not bored yet but I think I definitely found botw more interesting. I don’t have the same excitement to explore all the areas like I did before, maybe it’s because it’s the same map but I’m not as intrigued. Also the sky parts are the worst, I actually prefer the depths.

Not really bored but definitely burnt out and in need of a break. It doesn't help that I beat BOTW for the first time a month before TOTK so I think I'm just tired of current gen Zelda and its gameplay style.

But yeah the side quests leave a lot to be desired :rip: Some of them are fun but most of them are really boring/grindy for a small reward.

I honestly would rather have less shrines and quests if that would mean more eventful experience but I still can't complain. The most annoying feature of the game are still noises NPCs make.

I've done 3 temples so far but taking a step back to access all the towers so the full map is unlocked before I do the 4th :gaycat4: Will also probably do all the fairies too

I definitely could've done with more puzzles re: shrines and dungeons. Like, the amount of shrines that were just the same variation of "bring the crystal here" and then there's no actual puzzle in the shrine? A bummer for sure.

I also noticed some shrines are VERY similar to each other. Like few times I had legit deja vu.

I’m torn with it. Sometimes I really enjoy it but then other times I’m like I’ve been here and done this with BOTW. :rip: Because at the end of the day the games aren’t THAT different. The scope of the game is humongous(and a lil overwhelming at times) so that also kinda impacts my motivation for exploring a bit.

The negativity on this page :deadbanana2: Speaking on the overworld design specifically, if u separated the BOTW designed parts of the overworld, with TOTK, It feels like 2 different teams designed them. The Sky & Depths completely lose the complexity of what made the base world so interesting to explore.

I'm also taking a break from the game :rip: after I completed the water temple I stopped playing, maybe im kind of burnout because im exploring the map according to what the Heros Path shows, so practically im not leaving any space in the map unexplored :rip: but thats totally my fault

I'm baffled by the number of people that spent hundreds of hours into this game and still haven't touched valuable items

like this guy on reddit who finished the game with 600 zonaite and still didn't know what to do with them.

the other day I was watchin this streamer fight a fire gleeok for half an hour, he was overpowered and yet it took him that long because he didn't think once to use icefruits (or ice weapons) :deadbanana4:

there's also this video released today

the comment section being full of people who never used "dazzlefruits" :hoetenks:

like how the **** did they get through the gerudo portion of the story? did they just walk around the gidbos or just exclusively use Riju's help? what a waste of time lmao ...

reading skills guys. reading skills.

Well to be fair, the game does hardly nothing to incentivize combat; yes, Gibdos are very easy to kill (set on fire, then one hit of sword), but it's far faster to just run around them :rip:

Because there's no XP, the only reason to fight anything in the game is to farm parts for upgrades. But let's be honest: most people won't ever touch 75% of their gear once the find the 2-3 sets they like best. So even then, unless you're trying to upgrade everything, there's no need to fight 90% of the enemies.

I'm 70 hours in and just got my first dragon tear! I'm gonna explore the area around the second tower I activated then head towards the 1st dungeon :duca:

I have so much to explore :deadvision: ill probably go back to The Depths after that.

Made it to Forgotten Temple and I love this. It's like classic Zelda meets Assassin's Cred or Arkham Asylum. I had to take a break from this game too but I'm back to having fun again.
