I've done 2 temples so far and a bit of stuff in the depths but I still feel so useless! Not finding any good weapons or fuse material even after beating some overworld bosses. Any tips? I have like 8 or 9 hearts but I'm still getting wrecked by every enemy. Also I keep running out of arrows and it's so annoying.

If u find yourself too squishy, do the Great Fairy quest & use them to upgrade your armor. Defense does exponentially more than Hearts.

as much as I love this game there's one thing I'm feeling once in a while that's never happened in my many playthroughs of BoTw and that's "indigestion".

maybe it's because I'm a completionist at heart but good god there's too much goin on, I'm always tapped out after only 2 hours of playtime. 

 

earlier today I did my first maze and the sight of relief i had when I jumped and realized there wasn't a 3rd tier of the maze in the depths. like chill. they scared me for a second.

I've only done one dragon tear, I'm leaving that out for after the temples. and I was planning on doing korok forest asap.

Speaking of korok, where's the mask/is it difficult to obtain? I love korok hunting but it's so overwhelming without the mask.

It's in the depths beneath the Korok Forest. There's a location, I believe, in the top left of the area where you'll face a mini boss and then get the mask. I still haven't used it because I cba with the Koroks nn, at least not yet. Maybe I'll try to be more completionist before I progress much more of the main story.

The koroks are the one thing in both this and BOTW that I will never fully complete.

It’s not exactly spoilery but it’s easy to figure out what’s happening after you get there and it would ruin the mystery

Break every wooden/metal crate because they usually contain 5-10 arrows.

Same, except I might have to add the loser with his falling signs  I do them whenever I see them, but I feel like I'm gonna naturally miss a few because he's everywhere.

FTFY  Why did they give him not only the best ability, but make him the only sage that can score headshots 

 

Even ignoring their flop Sage abilities, BOTW's Champions still feel more narratively hype than TOTK's. Throw in the Champion abilities, and TOTK's Sages get completely ATE. Just some alternative ideas 

 

 

Tulin: Skill: Same

Combat: Same (chance to Headshot)

 

Yunobo: Skill: Same, but triggers when Shield is drawn.

Combat: Chance to Burn

 

Riju: Skill: Same, but charges when Bow is drawn. Shock range is immediately maxed in bullet time.

Combat: Chance to Shock

 

Sidon: Skill: When using a Charge attack (like Urbosa's Fury) creates a small waterspout under Link to launch him upwards, & makes anything below wet.

Combat: Idk, water sucks.

 

 

Imagine: Spin Attack → Launch up → Blow to the side → Shock arrow all the wet enemies. Fighting like a true OP team.

I’ve already beaten the main story but a while ago a main quest just appeared when I returned to a particular area. It’s so easy to miss it because the game doesn’t even give you any hints to go there

I instantly thought of Faron so I went there and found Mineru through the Dragonhead Island. What I didn’t know is that you have to go to Kakariko first and talk to Tauro so he can help you clear the storm in the isles. I don’t remember the game telling me to go there first

Ur like the 5th person here who found Mineru without clearing the storm clouds  they really should've made that harder, especially since her memory is spoilery too. I went 4 Dungeons → Mineru → Master Sword → Castle Phantom Ganon. It was only after all that did i think "Wait u want me to go fight Ganon now? What about that Ring Ruins quest?"   Initially I assumed Ring Ruins was gonna be accessible after Zelda becomes one of our Sage Companions  

 

It's annoying cuz when u do the Phantom fight the game acts like Mineru isn't there at all, & when u come back to Purah, Mineru explains everything she could've explained before we went to the damn castle

Yeah they screwed up the order of the main quest. Either commit to linearity or do it like in BOTW because

I agree with ~75% of what he said  His attitude in the first & last few mins comes across as pretentious"look at me & my different opinion!", but going by just his criticisms, he made a lot of fair points.

• TOTK's new features, Sky, Underground, Vehicles, etc all fail to reach the functionality & impact of BOTW's new features.
• BOTW features TOTK builds on like enemy variety, dungeons, etc fail to do enough given the 6 years, & reused map.

Video goes way more in depth. I think more will have these thoughts once they finish TOTK, & have some time to ponder their post nut clarity. The fact this negative video has a 70% like ratio might be a sign   

 

 

I do slightly disagree with him on Mazes, & Caves, and strongly disagree on Weapon Durability, & the constant comparison to Elden Ring (they are VERY different games). He also thinks the story is just ok, but i think it's pretty damn good for a Nintendo game   TOTK is still the best for me, but only because it was built on top of the previous best as DLC

After that tough fight with ganon and the Best part of the game when you fight black dragon with zelda (more of the game should have been this cinematic), the game just ends and.. you have to load your latest safe? Where everything is still gloomy and ganon still exists it feels like its uncompleted now

The fire temple is a mess. Pretty sure I didn't do it the way you're supposed to. That map with the cart tracks was indecipherable. And then the easy af boss at the end.
