What are y‘all doing for 50 Hours? :deadbanana2:bf and i are 30 Hours Into it and about to beat the 4th dungeon. We havent touched a shrine in days because they are boring and have like an opal for loot :rip: waste of time

The game is meant for you to bask in and get lost in its world

Exploration and just plain curiosity and ingenuity can run up your play time into the hundreds of hours alone

That's the beauty of this game..

You can rush thru the story as fast as possible with low stamina and hearts

Or

You can take your time actually enjoying it and just appreciating the endless possibilities you can do in the game

Y'all need to go to Satori Mountain if you haven't already. :jonny:

Spoiler

If you offer an apple to the little statue Ms Icon shows up and reveals where the caves are on the map.

Posted

On another note I am absolutely SICK of that loser and his falling sign. That and the koroks that need to reunite with their friends are becoming instant skips for me.

Uhm I did a few things and I don’t think I was supposed to do them like somehow I’m almost at the end of storyline even though I only finished Rito and Goron? :deadbanana: Wow but I’m slayed

not just there, those trees are in many places on the map

most reviewers who had finished the game said that "ascend" was by far their least used ability and yet it's the one I'm using the most since I started the game, surpassing "ultrahand" :dies:

although I've only been doing caves stuff lately so maybe that's why. I'm at 48 caves and 21 wells. i'm addicted to them because of the rare pieces of outfits i sometimes find

satori is actually not the only spot to unlock that  :jonny: i took out my scope so fast when It happened

I also love that "blupee" are actually useful in this game, if you chase after them they always lead you to a cave

I would've never found the Karariko cave if it wasn't for a blupee running into a tiny hole behind a waterfall. the hole is so tiny I had to crouch to get in.

I'm leaving that **** for last, I mean it's there for a bit of fun or for crazy completionist so I'll do it eventually but it's a time sink so I'm skipping too.

I'm only doing the friend korok ones if they're not too far from each other because I find a way to cheese them. I just shoot a "prime raw meat" next to the friend, stuck him to the meat and then use "recall" and bam! reunited :fan: i has to be prime meat though not normal meat because it's not heavy enough to carry the korok.

I love that I went straight for Gerudo just to not fall into being guided by the game like BOTW. I’m thinking of doing another next that makes less sense too. I suffered through the desert and had to make food etc work in the heat because I only had the wig to protect me from heat.

I'm gonna do gerudo first too when i'm done exploring because you can't tell me what to do :fan:

Yeah I love how many blupees there are too and how useful they are.

Oh that korok tip is genius. Thanks!

Finally had a long play session of this game since i finished it.

I'm treating that Duplication Glitch as a NG+ :dies: it's much more fun not being poor.

Upgraded a huge bulk of my armor

Explored the higher sky islands, & got the Zonaite armor set.

Built my house after selling cloned diamonds

Slayed my first Silver Lynel (idk how to regularly stun ha without Stasis :'()

building a house is so tedious :deadbanana4: my house serving army compound

Right?!?! I spent 3 hours & $12,000 just building it :deadbanana4:  (bought a lot of rooms that i didn't use)

It looks so basic, but if u try and make a more interesting looking one, the 15 piece limit, & walls makes it look so unaesthetic & asymmetric

This is my exact issue, It's very frustrating :rip: I wish they offered alternative room sizes too. Like why do I need a 2-tile long prayer room when the only relevant item in that room is the statue? I also wish they would let the smaller rooms (i.e., the study) count as .5 instead of a whole unit.

I finished the 2nd temple, and I have to agree that it got very laggy and it gave me a terrible headache :rip:, and it was so complicated too I was falling to the lava multiple times :deadbanana:At the end i decided to skip the rails using a rocket shield

Also the boss was really easy, i wish they could give the bosses at least more health

So far

Bosses and Temples: Rito>Goron

I think ill go to the Gerudo next since the next memories are there

Omg I finally got to the 2nd row of hearts  I can't believe how many hearts it took to get there.

I do love the shrines in TotK (better than BotW, if I recall correctly), but sooooo many of them can be completed using just stasis. I ignore the intended mechanics ALL the time and just make myself platforms to get to places, stasis balls so I can grab them and put them in holes without the intended mechanic, etc. etc. They made it too powerful :toofunny3:

just visited the well in karariko and found a diary in it, lowkey made me tear up :cries:

one of my favorite side quest in BoTw is the one involving the ex-Yiga who left the clan to start a family in Kakariko, he has 2 daughters (Cottla ad Koko) and his wife was killed by the Yiga clan.  i think it's also related to a shrine quest in BoTw where you have to spy on the father and then fight a Yiga blademaster who stole the Kakariko orb.

i wanted to look up some feedback on that "well" and found this video, apparently this place has a more disturbing history than i thought :dies:

i did find a comment about the diary though :cries:

Quote

I think that the diary also talks about the deceased mother of the kid in the cave that you just saw. I remember that they mentioned their mother quite a lot in BotW with the dad and his 2 daughters, but now the fact that the mother actually wrote a diary in there and probably hid it is really sad. Makes me wonder sometimes how this game is rated 10+ lol

I was so unprepared for the first temple in regards to food :skull: They couldn't put a cute pot somewhere :biblio:

I did complete it first try though

this game has already passed my Breath of the Wild play time:celestial: (on switch at least, I had it on wii U as well)

I've done 2 temples and trying to slow down and just explore...I hope there's more story content after I do the 2 others and it's not a straight shot to ganon like last time :spring:

This game should be called Tears of the Player :gaycat7:

Finished the Fire Temple finally.  Those damn puzzles!  I got so confused trying to find the last two gongs.  Fell many times into the lava.

Boss was easy.  Wind temple boss was more difficult.

Wearing the Hylian Hood down is cool, but the clipping is even worse than it already is up so :rip:

The way i stopped playing for like 10 days & had no desire to go back, but yesterday & today have me hooked again :jonny5:

I hate how they removed the Ancient Horse Armor tho :grump:

Spoiler

the way the whole Bill Trinen statement about TOTK's title being a spoiler makes so much sense now. I'm sure it was just a coincidence tho.

Anyways TOTK is such a great name given the context :jonny5: :weeps:

Finally got Majora's Mask. Surprisingly wasn't too bad cuz i think the Gloom only made me lose 1 heart vs the many i would lose otherwise? Or maybe my armor was just good.

EDIT: just fought a ______ and that final phase was :deadbanana4:  i used up like 7 fairies & max heals :deadbanana4:

Spoiler

King Gleeok

My basic house design :gaycat4: the view is a slay, but i'm annoyed that once again there's a creep staying outside my house that won't leave.

Spoiler

Don't open unless u've gotten the Master Sword

Spoiler

EXACTLY asdfghjkl I've been waiting for someone here to get there so i can talk about it :jonny5: It's also why i was stressing everyone to watch the memories in order. This was the moment i was melting down about :jonny5:

I got so sad after that memory that i decided to just see if i can glide next to the Dragon just to spend time with her, & i was so distracted by her hair at first, i never noticed the damn sword. Then i turned around and my jaw droppedT, like my arm hairs stood up :jonny5: I didn't even go to the Korok Forest, my dumbass didn't realize how to until later on :dies: but honestly i think that would only ruin the shocking experience and make it too obvious. Truly one of the BEST moments in gaming for me.

HOLY **** HOLY **** HOLY ****

The 1-2-3 punch i just experienced, & i'm not even doing the finale yet

I could've done these optional things at ANY moment since the start, but the fact i saved it for near the end was so perfect.

I highly recommend following the order the game coaxes u to. I technically mixed up the order of the 2nd & 3rd punch, but I think it works out way better imo. I'm so glad i didn't get spoilt on these moments.

:jonny5:GOTY:jonny5:GOTY:jonny5:GOTY:jonny5:

the 3rd punch was probably my highlight of the whole game

not me getting that "special" armor that Koltin is trading for in one attempt after he just opened his shop :lmao:

I think I overdid it with the caves :toofunny3:

One thing that annoys me about the game design of The Depths is that there almost isn't anything original to find in the Chests. It's 95% repurposed BOTW Amiibo or DLC armor. Even the armor u get for completing those 3 Mazes are from BOTW's DLC, & it's still useless :deadbanana: could they not bother to make it upgradable like the Royal Guards?

I wouldn't fault anyone who calls it $70 DLC tbh  it's a DLC that's worth $70.
