Kamil24 Posted September 6 Posted September 6 Wait Anika stans for Sandra, Parvati AND Legend Sarah Lacina? Instant fave. 1

I think they made a mistake announcing it so far in advance for multiple reasons (even though everyone deep down knew 50 would be returnees but still).

Komet Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Seems like a fairly bland and tepid cast, apart from like Sue lol. The one that seem interesting from the first impressions to me are Kyle, Sue, Tiyana from blue, Andy and Sam from yellow and Genevieve from red. 45 seemed generic too and they ended up serving best new era season, so we'll see. There's like zero hype so far, s50 announcement really did them dirty.
Gossip_Boy Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Rewatching Vanuatu currently and aside from being a very underrated season, I'm surprised people like Twila has never been back. I know she was contracted for like 3 returnee seasons over the years but ended up getting cut every time. Survivor doesn't tend to cast old people as much these days so I hope Sue does well this season if only for the fact that it might encourage production to bring back some older women for 50 (and expand when it comes to age diversity in general).

Vanuatu's been getting reappraised recently, deservedly so. Imo the reason it isn't exactly easy to like is the same why I love it so much - the end game is filled with morally gray people, with no clear heroes or villains to universally root for or against. One could make a case for liking or disliking any of Eliza/Chris/Twila/Ami/Scout and I'd understand. Also it's a very top-heavy cast; the stars shine but there is a lot of no1curr duds. Older players have been delivering recently - Julie, Bruce, Maria, Mike, Gabler I don't understand why they're only casting one per season. Apparently the s48 cast is mostly 30 and older, tho. Mordecai Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Idc about this season so far lol. Won't bother to go through all the preseason stuff but Sue and Sam seem like fun. S46 was the worst I've ever watched live so I pray this is a decent season 19 hours ago, Gossip_Boy said: Survivor doesn't tend to cast old people as much these days so I hope Sue does well this season if only for the fact that it might encourage production to bring back some older women for 50 (and expand when it comes to age diversity in general). Literally so many older women that I can think of off the top of my head that would be great s50 picks - Trish, Carolyn (Worlds Apart), Chrissy, Natalie Cole, Janet and Julie to name a few. Trish and Carolyn especially should have returned by now but their time has probably passed which sucks
Gossip_Boy Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Parv, Cirie and Tony have been confirmed for the next season of Australian survivor, Australia vs the World. But its length is supposedly only 15 days sadly. 2 1

I wish they did a proper season cause the concept of having players from all over the world compete is cool but alas. 2

Mordecai Posted September 20 Posted September 20 How did Andy survive that My faves Sue and Sam having strong starts, we have to stan. Kyle was a bit quiet, but he already seems very wholesome Surprised Jon got the boot tbh, in the first 10 or so minutes I thought he was going to be the geeky screenhog that we always get (and that I can't stand), I guess homophobia won
Gossip_Boy Posted September 20 Posted September 20 I….cannot believe Andy managed to survive this. He served Jelinsky/Bhanu/Jess levels of unhinged lmao. Not sure it was the right call to keep him. He's clearly not fit for survivor and I feel like he will keep spiraling every time he's under pressure. Jeff spending the entirety of pre-season praising Jon only for him to be the first boot. I just know he hates this season lmao. Sam being a true girls' girl and refusing to vote for Anika. Exactly 💅🏻 People I liked from the first episode from each tribe Red: Aysha, Teeny, Rome (he's terrible at the game but his idol hunting had me cackling) Yellow: Sam, Rachel, Anika Blue: Sue, Cabe(?), Tiyana(?), TK
Gossip_Boy Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Also can we talk about the way Teeny approached Aysha? So ******* smart
305 Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Andy being this seasons less annoying but still just as cringe Bhanu Why do they keep casting this loser stereotype? It literally never works, it's the same playbook every time. I'm so over it. Give me VILLAINS. I really like the guy from blue that went idol hunting (can't remember his name rn) and Romes hunt for it was hilarious. Aysha is cute too. Didn't really get a stand out right off the bat though 1

nathanspears Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Paramount+ has stopped working on our VPN. I have no way of watching now 1
Chamoy Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Liking the yellow tribe the most so far. The red tribe is boring asf, so we're probably going to be stuck with them until merge. It's sad how predictable this show has become. Something as simple as changing it to two tribes could make things less monotonous. Lemme start lowering my expectations for S50. Can't wait to see the idol search evolve into a ten part reverse warholian expedition. Apparently, that's what Survivor's all about these days. 1
roman19911 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I feel like after all those years I might finally stop watching... The casting recently is so bad, like how do they keep choosing those horrible players? I mean this is S47, how can you be so clueless about the entire game as TK, Andy etc? It is not even funny anymore I am going to just wait for the next Australian season, especially since Parvati and Cirie are going to be there 1
Komet Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Omg is nobody watching this? The premiere was shaky, but the season is kinda giving so far LUV that people genuinely seem to dislike each other. I didn't like that again they made them choose something on the journey, and basically guarantee that somebody is gonna be losing their vote. I'm not sure what's not clicking with the production that nobody likes that. Yellow bickering about *checks notes* clothesline placement, while the lunatic on the bottom is suddenly the rational one? Straight into my veins. I hope they randomly continue winning after losing the first IC while arguing the whole time. Also I need Sam biblically. Red is giving nothing I'm sorry. Sol and Genevieve are UTRfun but that means they're barely there. Rome is dangerously close to being too exposed to be entertaining and Teeny/Kishan are stratbot charisma vacuums. The boot was fun tho, I felt bad for Aysha but she could've stayed if she played it a bit better. Loving the dynamics on Blue They all seem like they have potential to go far. 1
Chamoy Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Sam avoiding like 90% of the food in the world. Finally some real representation on this show. I hope his rivalry with Anika isn't just a pre-jury storyline. Kyle ratting out the worst Tuku member. I knew there was something about him that rubbed me the right way. The red tribe finally giving some content that doesn't involve idols, but I'm gonna need that Core 4 broken up immediately. In Aysha's defense, I would throw my game away for daddy Sol, too.
Dula Peep Posted October 5 Posted October 5 What a huge cast of ugly nerdy losers glad the podcasters are gone first wtf like, compare this to the current cast of Big Brother… what is going on CBS? Other than Jeff's influence on the casting….
