Rafael Nadal announces his retirement: https://www.espn.com/tennis/story/_/id/41713386/rafael-nadal-retire-tennis-end-season

Fitting that his last official match was against Djokovic. He will enter the Tennis HOF with Andy Murray in 2029.

Before this, he already announced he's playing the Davis Cup in November. So, his last official match will be against some Dutch player, not that person.

Nick Kygrios has announced he will play at the 2025 Australian Open after 2 years out of the game. It will be interesting to see if this is the beginning of a true comeback or if it's a one-off.

Also, Danielle Collin's reverses course on retirement and will play in 2025: https://www.espn.com/tennis/story/_/id/41858063/danielle-collins-not-retiring-play-wta-tour-2025

Since the biggest rivalry in tennis has officially ended the fact will remain that Nadal last won set against Djokovic on hard court back in 2013 :rip:

Wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't play the ATP Finals even if he qualifies.

He already implied back in September that he might not play it. I'm surprised he decided to skip Paris because it has been his most successful masters and he is best player ever on indoor hard court

The only reason he played Shanghai is because he had contract obligation with Lacoste in China

Anyway, it's hilarious to me how goat race is not even close
