I don't like Iga at all, sad to see Coco get demolished like that, but at least she has the doubles title tomorrow to play for.

I believe zverev was actually Nadals biggest oponent. I mean, 3.5 hours for just 2 sets speaks a clear language and that match was tight as hell

He said he will try everything he can to come back. Highly doubt we will get anything more than that today or anytime soon. Also highly doubt that he plays Wimbledon, but that isnt confirmed yet

But yeah... 14 really just makes no sense at all. Crazy, crazy stuff.

This must have been Nadal's toughest path to the RG title in his career. He had to beat 4 top 10 players including his greatest rival, and two of those matches were in unfavourable conditions (a late night match and a closed roof on a humid day). And then factor in his age, his problems with his foot and the fact he didn't win any clay tournaments leading up to RG, it's just unbelievable.

Multiple majors in a year:

Federer 04, 05, 06, 07, 09, 17 (=6)

Nadal 08, 10, 13, 17, 19, 22 (=6)

Novak 11, 15, 16, 18, 19, 21 (=6)

Kinda surprising actually. Here's to someone blocking the latter at Wimbledon and/or US.

Emma's retired in like half of her matches this year it seems like, her ranking is going to drop so bad after the US Open

Yeah and she clearly struggled in some more matches that she didnt retire in. Really hope she figures it out :chick3:

But also she is currently #58 with only 2022 points. Thats not that terrible. Easier draws with being seeded everywhere helped, but she has also played pretty well when healthy

Novak Djokovic will lose his place at the top of the world of men's tennis on Monday when the ATP releases its latest rankings.

The Serbian, who has won just one tournament this year, is set to drop from first to third, per Live Tennis, a website which projects upcoming ATP World Rankings.

Reigning US Open champion Daniil Medvedev will move to number one, while Germany's Alexander Zverev will move into second.

Djokovic's drop to third is the first time he has fallen outside of the top two since October 2018 and will also mark the first time in almost two decades that Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer have all been outside the top two.

The last time the trio — collectively known as the "Big Three" — were all outside of the top two was on November 15, 2003.

Nadal, who has already won both the Australian Open and French Open this year, will be fourth in Monday's updated rankings.

Federer will drop to 66th in the world, falling 16 places from his current ranking of 50th. He has not played a single tournament since the turn of the year due to injury.

66th will be Federer's lowest ranking since October 1999, when he was just 18 years old.
