simmnfierzig Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Shelton First time in his life outside of the US and into the quarters
skyandground Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Djoker absolutely dominated in that R4 match against Alex, a Top 25 player Seems to be in good shape to claim his 22nd GS/10th AO title this time

Graf was a mother when she won her last slam in Paris before retiring if I remember correctly Edit: Nevermind, she became a mother 2 years later Edited January 23, 2023 by *-ChriZ-*
Gui Blackout Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 I see that Novaxx's "injury" got healed pretty quickly huh
Frozen99 Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 happy to see vika in the semis, 10 years after her second win she played well and pegula bad .. rybakina looks ready, excited for the match now jiri vs stefi
skyandground Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 The domination of Eastern European women.. 7/8 in QF
skyandground Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 Congrats to Tommy Paul for his first GS Semi-Final! He looks like Ryan Lochte

I still believe Sabalenka is the one to beat
skyandground Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 Djoker making another Top 10 player look like an amateur… Nothing new My poor babe Tommy will be annihilated by Djoker in his first SF
Sensation Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 I would like to see Vika win it all, but I think Sabalenka will take her first slam.

I think it depends how she is able to hold her nerve. She was already looking shaky during the match with Vekic, but she lucked out in that Vekic was even shakier. Rybakina and Azarenka already have the experience of being in a Slam final (and winning), which will be a huge boon.

So proud of him getting this far, though. I want Vika on the other side. She played in a hard era and should have had more than two slams if not for all the start/stop with her baby drama. If not, Rybakina since she deserves something since she got zero points from Wimbledon.
Frozen99 Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 i see elena taking it, rooting for her On 1/25/2023 at 10:04 AM, skyandground said: Congrats to Tommy Paul for his first GS Semi-Final! He looks like Ryan Lochte never realized how these two look similar

Frozen99 Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 beautiful outcome, novak's collapse in the first gives me HOPE stefi can take him nole's BH was so off today, also depends on his leg. rooting for stefan so he can ask margot robbie out as a gs champion 8 hours ago, skyandground said: Actually it's been a meme in online tennis space for quite a while never paid him attention so i never noticed .. i did now
Frozen99 Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 on the girls' side, i'm definitely rooting for elena, aryna is also a heavy hitter BUT i prefer elena's more focused approach than aryna's pure power tho she definitely worked on control and variety, stop balls here and there rooting for elena
geddymonster Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Stef will have to do better at seizing opportunities. He should have been off the court in 3, but he was STRUGGLING to close out sets.

skyandground Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Poor Tommy babe getting outplayed as expected Hopefully this match will motivate him to improve his game. He has the potential to become a consistent (and attractive) Top 20 player on the ATP tour Stef has close to zero chance in that final. Let’s be real! His poor backhand is just asking to be mercilessly punished by Djoker My Predictions: Djoker in 4 Elena in 3
geddymonster Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 I don’t think Stef is going to be destroyed the way some people are predicting. He did almost beat Nole in that French Open final. Granted this is a hard court, but I think it will be closer than expected.
