Frozen99 Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 nice play, beautiful play, first QF since cinci 2019 was close but at least she got one match anyway, what about serena, she said she didn't retire but is she playing anywhere?
Sharapov Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 of course serena's sister LOST against some mug already
pride4jc1222 Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 I think Serena will make a return, but maybe at the 2023 US Open or 2024 AO. I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes a part-time player. I can't see her competing in non-hard court slams/events.

Because she needs to remove her name from the ITIA retired players list, and need to make herself available for anti-doping tests for at least 6 months. That pretty much removes the FO and Wimbledon from the equation (not that I expected her to participate in those slams).

Steve Johnson Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 Seeing all these players playing boring tennis makes me sad. oh Rpger Federer, I miss you so much.
Frozen99 Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 En route to her first WTA final, Noskova has not only defeated No.2 Jabeur, No.9 Daria Kasatkina and former No.1 Victoria Azarenka, but she has also come from match point down in two of her victories, first against Anna Kalinskaya in the first round of qualifying and again against Azarenka we have to stan

Gui Blackout Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 Yeah Naomi is over. She's never coming back as a full time player, day in and day out on the grind fighting for titles. She'll probably just play a few more slams and 1000s via WC before retiring altogether. A shame really, you can't help but wonder what could've been...
