Not sure if Domi babe will ever return to his Top 5 form after his unfortunate wrist injury:monkey:

Peak Domi took Djoker to 5 sets in that thrilling 2020 AO Final!:beatfreak:

I want to see that happen again! It was the last time Djoker got even slightly challenged at AO :penguin:

Even Nadal got dispatched by Djoker in straight sets in that 2019 AO Final:skull:

:rip:

it's all about confidence, Domi has lost it, he needs a WIN, one good, meaty win and he'll be back on track

never imagined that injury would've taken such a toll on him but he was long gone from tour, about a year..

i still have hope (even if he's turning 30 this year).

Pliskova gave her a Walkover for their QF, will have to wait longer for an opportunity to win her first game against Swiatek. :chick3:

Coco Gauff defeated Madison Keys 6-2, 7-5. Let's hope that she beats Iga in the semifinals, so the world can continue to heal.

Ugh I was so ready for Swiatek vs Sabalenka

bára was down 0-6 1-3 and i was like, damn, that iga & aryna match up will be juicy .. what a comeback though! aryna still won 27 out of 30 sets in 2023, incredible.

the whole match was great but this point took. me. out. :toofunny3:

Pegula choked 2 matches away from a title once again, this time on her birthday. This probably won’t be the last time Pegula chokes in a semifinal.

How is getting bagel'd and breadstick'd considered "choking"? Jessica was utterly dominated...

Iga would have bagel'd her ass again in the final like last week anyway...:snowman:

Iga outside of grass is really dominant at the moment.. She's actually sick right now (a cold) and still comfortably beats her opponents.

Only Peak Elena and Aryna could challenge her :celestial5:

Of course she's not gonna win every tournament? But she'll be similar to Serena's dominance in the 2010s

WTA is such a mess nowadays, I wonder if they’ll ever regain the popularity they had in 00s.

Depends on what part of the 2000s. The early 2000s were decent, with the Williams sisters, Capriati, Seles, Pierce, Davenport, Hingis, Henin, and Clijsters. The late 2000s was just a glorified high school tennis tour.

But yeah, the weakness of the WTA has taken a whole new level the past few years, especially after Osaka’s level of play declined and Barty retired. We just had a 31-year-old nobody in Magda Linette make a semifinal of a slam last month, lol.

I still don't understand what's your point? Of course she's not gonna win every single tournament of the year? :skull: but pretending she's not currently by the best player on the tour is just plain delusional, and I'm not even a stan
