Xpress2019
Medvedev looked so tired in that match today. These tennis players have crazy schedules. They play a final and then 2/3 days later they’re playing another tournament.

The funny thing is that they had it perfect in the first half of the 1990s. The fall schedule has gotten progressively worse since Virginia Slims stopped being the sponsor (except for 2020 and 2021). If the WTA does not want to put on meaningful tournaments during the fall, then they should just put the WTA Finals following the US Open in September, and let October be the offseason month. As it is, having the WTA Finals in November interferes with the BJK Cup. I can't believe the WTA allowed itself to squander the opportunity to capitalize off the momentum of Coco Gauff's US Open win. Update: The ATP has gotten rid of Atlanta and Newport starting in 2025, in order to accomodate for the Toronto and Cincy Masters going to 2 weeks.
