I mean, if Iga was born in May 1975, her career would be a footnote in women's tennis. Meanwhile, if Capriati was born in March 2002, she would win at least 12 slams. my god this is the wackiest **** I've ever read in my life
Marla Singer Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Congrats #1ga! Her 4th Roland Garros title in 5 years. That's 4 times more titles than Capriati! 4

TMRA Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Djoko gave us best matches on RG so far. Too bad he got injured damn

The way Djokovic was playing (he struggled against guys like Musetti and Cerundolo), he wasn't going to make the final. Even if he did, he would have gotten embarassed by Sinner or Alcaraz. Pls the way both Alcaraz and Sinner played during their second and third set...djoko would have beaten them on one leg
TeamThiem Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 Casper, sad about his sickness derailing his tournament. Women's final, 85% of the time at RG, is a total snooze fest. Today was no exception. Iga is well above the rest on clay.
jonapova Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 I want Alcaraz to win which probably means Zverev will win in straight sets, lol.
Sensation Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 Wow. Alcaraz d. Zverev 63 26 57 61 62 to win his first RG.
geddymonster Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 I can't say I'm disappointed that the (alleged) abuser lost.
fridayteenage Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 he's the ONE only missing australia now, at 21 years old. winner of 3/4: nadal as of 2009 aus, 22 years old federer as of 2004 US, 23 years old novak as of 2011 US, 24 years old
Marla Singer Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 Congrats Carlos! The youngest player to win a Grand Slam on each surface. And he has that same ability that the big 3 did to win these tournaments even when he's not at his best. I was hoping for a straight sets beat down but in a way, it's even better that Zverev was up 2 sets to 1 and had a real shot at winning. Makes the loss so much worse for him.
stochastic Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 I'm so happy Carlos pulled through. Glad he had the mental resolve to recover from that third set

But, I could be wrong if she gets a nice draw.
pride4jc1222 Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 The last 2 slams are going to be interesting, with Alcaraz and Sinner as the clear favorites at both. Alcaraz could be ahead in the slam count 5-1 by the end of the year, or Sinner could pull even at 3 slams a piece. But title should be Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, the future of men's tennis. After all, Sinner is the new #1 ranked player in the world.
