Now he's been in two slam finals! His progress is astonishing and Casper should be proud of himself! I believe Casper will continue to work hard and surprise us even more soon This decade so far: 3 new USO Champions in a row while the other 3 slams are still Djoker-Nadal exclusive. The Djoker-Nadal reign isn't over yet Let's see if things will change in 2023

The foundations of his game is very much the Rafa/spanish blueprint of baseline attack/defense, but he also comes to the net to attack and volleys well.

He won the tiebreak that mattered the most. So clutch. Tennis needed Alcaraz this year, he routinely plays showstopping points and shots during every match and has the physical and mental toughness of the big 3. With 1ga dominating the woman's game as well and winning without even really playing her best the last couple of weeks, this feels like a transitional year.

pride4jc1222 Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 I will always believe that had Federer won the 2019 Wimbledon final over Djokovic, he would have retired on top immediately following the match. Federer had very little left in the tank after that, and I think he even knew that (even if he is reluctant to admit it). I will treat any appearance after the 2019 Wimbledon final as Federer's farewell to the slams.
