Who do you think is gonna win in men singles and woman singles?

MEN: Djokovic def. Cilic (Hurkacz and Tsitsipas as SF)

WOMEN: Swiatek def. Bencic (Kerber and Serena as SF)

I'm not really sure about Bencic, could be Oastapenko or Sakkari but I put my money on her

Women who knows.

Men It'd be amazing to see Rafa go for the calendar slam in NY if he wins here.  Novak atm won't be playing in the US so this will be his last chance for a slam this year.  Berrettini is one to look out for.

I was actually quite encouraged and impressed by Serena’s performance. Her serve looked the sharpest it has in a long time (does anyone else think her motion looks ever so slightly different?), she was looking to be aggressive and finish at net, and she didn’t seem nervous as has been her tendency since coming back from pregnancy. She was a little too generous with the errors and had questionable shot selection at times, but that’s to be excepted after not playing a singles match in a year. Her movement was solid, but I think it’s smart of her to be going for her shots and risking a few extra errors. She can run down balls when she needs to, but obviously that shouldn’t be her Plan A at this point in her career.

If she actually plays some tournaments between now and the U.S. Open, I do think she’s a contender.

She actually played really well. I was expecting her serve to be a mess but she actually got two aces against the male opponent. :jonnycat:

She did play quite well, she was returning the male opponent's serve really well too, better than Jamie even.
