Yeah, PTA drop is really good. If the PVOD release is postponed this will perform well all month :clap3:

this is our every-9-years sci-fi Original Screenplay winner, after Eternal Sunshine and Her

Tbh at this point I don't think it's crazy to say it could be an upper-tier BP contender with multiple noms. This could perform really well on a preferential ballot and it's not like the weirdness has stopped the entire GP including 50yo Kansas soccer moms from stanning.

It’s on A24’s official online shop! It’s currently sold out but hopefully they will restock it.

The more I think about it the more I love it, its genuinely perfect and has one of the most beautiful messages I've ever seen in a film :jonny3:

Actuals are in for the weekend and EEAAO had a nice bump up to $3.5M, just a 36% drop in the wake of DS2 :alexz:

Only -10% on Mother's Day Sunday :clap3:

100% locked that this becomes A24's biggest film domestic. Final predict shifts upward even more. $52-57M domestic:clap3:

Watched this today. I cried so much when Evelyn had that talk with Joy outside her car near the end :cries:  Mother's love is really powerful :heart2:

Expertly acted, edited, and directed. Very insane script but also really easy to follow. Loved how they handled the themes of modern day nihilism and how they connected it with queerness, generational trauma, cultural values... so genius :clap3:

I cried twice during this :skull: phenomenal movie.

Getting an expansion this weekend, about 400 more theatres for 1900 total, I believe :WAP:

Coming for another increase.

Wow, serving My Big Fat Greek Wedding teas in the box-office (not to the same scale obviously given the changes in times).

I was thinking this a week ago, like what if this serves a mini MBFGW run:alexz:

Wednesday's drop was stellar and Thursday should end up falling back in line with last week's numbers, after being down 25-30% week on week since DS2 dropped. With the theatre/showtime increase, we could be in for another small increase this weekend.

Finally got around to seeing this and it was perfect. The layers of it all - intergenerational trauma, making it as an immigrant, queerness, familial relationships, existentialism... ugh just incredible. :clap3:Had me switching so quickly between laugher and tears.

Between Turning Red and now EEAAO, white male critics have been working hard to stymie the breakout of Asian woman led films this year with their s**t reviews. Pathetic.

Finally saw this and it blew my mind. I feel like I need a second watch to unpack what I watched but it was visually stunning and some genuinely hilarious bits. I loved the concepts and the themes like Marvel could never. I need to watch again just to process it.

The mighty EEAAO continued its epic run. Dropping just 6% with this weekend's estimates ($3.3M). I would not be surprised with another increase with actuals that makes the weekend flat or even a small increase.

$47.1M domestic. Leaping past Uncut Gems on Friday I think. $60M in play. Starting to see some more releases overseas, UK this past weekend. I'm still rooting for $100M+ worldwide when all is said and done.
