Since 2010, 80+ MC, 80+ IMDB/$20 mil+, not franchise or cartoon (so: critics love it, audiences love it, it doesn't have genre anti-bias):

King’s Speech

Django Unchained

12 Years a Slave, Her

Grand Budapest Hotel

Spotlight, The Martian

La La Land

Three Billboards

Parasite, Ford v Ferrari

Good news for Michelle's movie.

Wtf :psyduck:

Utterly stupid. Let it continue to make money! I hate these rush releases to home video.

Saw it last night after work :jonny5: I was surprised by just how much of a straightforward genre film it was but it worked perfectly. The pacing and plotting were AMAZING and I loved how it infused kinda stale ideas/themes about family with legit existentialism. Also, the bagel void thing being a metaphor for mental illness and queer suicide with how it connects to Joy's arc was brilliant as well as the rock sequences :jonny5:

They may pull the release. A24’s CEO just said over the weekend that they expect the film to play well into the summer. They pulled the physical DVD pre-order for June on Amazon so.

Watched it last night. I have never seen something like that in my life. My jaw was on the fckin floor the whole time, like I literally was afraid of blinking and missing something :deadbanana:

Doctor Strange 2's "previews" (which started at 3 pm and continued well past midnight lol) affected EEAOO the least out of all films, with only a -32% week to week from last Thursday. Weekend drop could range from -25% to -35% IMO :clap3:

The money will be made through this month for sure. Uncut Gems is toast. Think I heard the VOD release has been pushed to June 7th which is good.

I've seen this 4 times now. 3 standard, 1 IMAX.

I still need to hang my poster I got from work. Sadly it's just the googly eyes poster, but I'll take it for free.

Friday early prediction is in. It's quite a big hit from DS2....if it follows last weekend's multiplier, it will sit around 3.1 to 3.2 million this weekend  (-41%+ from last weekend). There's also Mother's day coming on Sunday which may impact the box office more.

Quote

A24’s Everything Everywhere All at Once at 2,000 locations in its 7th Friday will get $900K in fifth place, a $3M+ 3-day and a running total of $40.9M.

I absolutely loved this! I didn’t have the emotional break down everyone on tik tok claimed to be having but it did very much resonate with me! Best film of the year!

Mother's Day could actually be a help to this movie.. I hope! Let's get that weekend drop into the mid 30s. Would still be amazing in the wake of a new $200M opener flooding the market.

this is my favorite movie ever :jonny: everything was perfect, everywhere all at once :heart2: i could cry just thinking about this

Friday estimate up to $951k, won't be surprised if the actuals are closer to, if not $1M tbh. Only down -39% from last Friday :clap3:

I think the WOM this movie gets will make this a bit of a Mother's Day movie. I wouldn't surpised to see a nice Sunday hold.

But if you want to save money for a movie, go on Discount Tuesday at either Regal or AMC. Its $6.50 at my Regal (and 50% off popcorn) if you sign up for a Crown Club Card (free).

It’s pushed to 6/7 now apparently. But if it continues to do good at boxoffice. It will probably be pushed again

Considered that it lost almost 700 theaters. Amazing hold!
