So I think they were scared of any potential finale not being done so they filmed a reunion and finale (with a top 2) this past summer. If it does get renewed I assume they can still go ahead with the usual schedule.

I feel like they will because they won't want to have wasted the money it costs to film it without airing it. But it's just a one time thing and I'm sure the finale for the next regular US season will be filmed in May of the year that it's currently airing like normal. 1
publikcitizen Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 I saw a rumor on Reddit that Spoiler The final edit was submitted to BBC and it’s a tie between Michael and Ginger. They both win. Tomara was cut before the lipsync.
La Divina Assoluta Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 (edited) Are they for real? Everything was set up perfectly for a double crowning last season (top 4 being cut down to an iconic top 2). And now that they have another top 3, they decide to crown everyone but Tomara? I hope they make up their minds between Ginger and Michael. This isn't the correct season for a double crowning, in my opinion. Edited November 29, 2023 by La Divina Assoluta
publikcitizen Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 I went back to screenshot the post and it was deleted 1
LastKiss Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 So the UK really wanted that double win a la All Stars
Rigalo Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 I mean they don’t have to pony up any money for 2 winners so might as well I guess I said something similar in the UK thread but while Ginger and Michael are both very talented, they are both pretty by-the-numbers drag queens at this point in the franchise. double crowning them would be jumping the shark for a “omg” moment imo, that I don’t really see paying off or having a precedent but. We’ll see

ATRL Moderator Unoriginal Posted November 29, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted November 29, 2023 i want it to be true for the mess but hoping for a ginger win ultimately
Aston Martin Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 (edited) S16: Sapphira (top 2) has 4 wins Edit: Nymphia (top 2) also confirmed to have 4 wins Morphine Love Dion (4th) has 1 win Other wins we know of/are rumored: Plane Jane (3rd) has 2 wins (premiere and SG allegedly) Plasma has 1 or 2 Dawn is rumored to have 1 Edited November 30, 2023 by Aston Martin
ALittleGauche Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Visited Sapphira’s Instagram page. Very basic fashion choices. 💀 Serving first time in drag.

Theme is camo/combat, and while I think it was shot back in the summer before the current Israel/Palestine conflict, I could see some backlash as a result. Also, is it just me, or is there way less preseason tea for S16 than usual. At this point during the last two years, we had an 85%-90% correct elimination order, general challenge win distributions, and lip sync matchups. This year, we know who the top 3 (and eventual top 2) is, and we know who wins the first episode. Not much else, unless I've missed something. I totally forgot that it is time for S16 promo but perched!

Cheddar was strong throughout the season kind of fizzled a bit at the end. Danny stayed strong throughout and gave us something new. Ginger and Michael have the same track record pretty much and both have finished strong this season. And… What does that have to do with her skills as a Drag Queen in terms of performance ability and stage craft which is where she clearly excels (hence the 4 wins in her season overall)? Also, her fashion choices aren’t “basic”. She’s clearly a drag Queen with a more traditional and antiquated style that serves both her and her make-up/wigs very well.
publikcitizen Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 It’s been spoiled that Tomara was cut before the lip sync. Maybe the rumored tea about the double crowning is actually true. We’ll know in two hours lol

Michael's BTM2 placement was also a default one rather than the result of a poor performance, while Cheddar's roast was... not it. I think I'm letting Cheddar's impact outside of the competition cloud my judgment of how they actually did on the show, because I clearly recall Danny being more consistent throughout season 4.
ATRL Moderator Unoriginal Posted December 5, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted December 5, 2023 I’m not sure I believe the Dragula spoilers atp. Cynthia was pegged as one of the first three out, Ork was supposed to be out, Jay was rumoured to make top five. I’ll be gagged if Fantasia makes top three with her tragic performance this season Throb frontrunning is still such a shock to me as well the fact it’s not even undeserved

They'll either win or go home next week (most likely the latter). I've been thinking about the NiOrk storyline and wondering if both might somehow land in the BTM. At this point, not many contestants would eliminate Ork based on track record alone, so they might bottom two more times before going home or... give up in the extermination? But that's hard to imagine, except maybe against Nio. With all of Nio's HIGH placements, a second win is in order, so a second BTM placement wouldn't ruin her track record. We also need to take into account how many episodes are left. Will there be a double elimination or maybe a last supper elimination? I can't imagine them doing a top 4 again after saying they wouldn't. Edited December 5, 2023 by La Divina Assoluta

That, or next week is a shock double elimination for the three week break. If the former, I think Berri will bottom with Cynthia next week, sending her home, and then Ork will send Berri home, and then Throb and/or Fantasia boots Ork. Wasn’t there tea about a contestant getting disqualified? Or was that just misconstrued from Jarvis’s ~shock elimination~? Pretty sure the Boulets said they absolutely don’t want to do a top four again so I think they’ll definitely trim three contestants somehow
