My heart goes out to the editors of the show who are scratching their heads thinking how they can botch the final lipsync of AS8 to justify Jimbo winning versus Kandy or LaLa. It'll probably be 70% of Ru screaming, Michelle living and the girls cringing.

Honestly I think I’ll end up being anti-Jimbo by the end of the season cause the Jimbo stans are so annoying but I do love her and her drama. And you’ve gotta admit it’s extremely impressive how she’s built such a huge name for herself despite being on one of the less notable seasons (compared to US and UK at least) and not being super well known in Canada before the show. She’s probably top 3 biggest international girls, along with Tayce and Bimini. 

 

Here for LaLegend winning. I like Kandy but she’s a perfect fan favorite finalist Imo.

AS8 cast is so weak. Kandy, Alexis and Jimbo are the only real competitors and we have no heavy hitter that will guarantee to smash almost every challenges at all.

 

this's like MID off?  Kandy is having it easy. i really miss the real fight for the crown on AS format.

also wft is up with this trend of newer finalists not doing AS? i don't think it will be a good strategy for most of them. like Asia and Kameron coming back around AS5-6 would be real interesting but now? i don't see them doing all that well. the hype is gone. and the show won't being this popular for ever. or maybe they're not interested in AS i guess ...

that being said, Kandy is SMART. she knows that she need to hit while the iron is hot, new set of queens comes every year and the older queens could easily loose their popular place

Asia and Kameron doesn't want to do AS last I heard.

Gigi doesn't really need it. I think Crystal will do it eventually, maybe with Daya.

I don’t see the point in jumping on all stars fresh out of your season. Might as well wait until your star is falling a little bit and go back on for a career boost. Like a lot of Queens from AS8 will get completely new exposure and opportunity to make fans

All Stars is too expensive to be worth the exposure imo

 

If WOW wants better girls back, then they need to find ways to book better paying gigs for them post-show. And ngl, Kylie winning and then kind of being a dud post-win definitely hurt the chances of girls returning. Interested to see if Kandy/Jimbo/Lala can get a big boost or not. Jimbo probably will to be honest, Lala too perhaps, Kandy is already pretty well remembered by the US audience so I’m not sure how much she could benefit from the AS boost.

There are just so many post-show opportunities that are open to even queens that aren't necessarily in the upper echelon of fan faves between VOSS, M&P, Vegas and the overseas touring productions that it is a harder sell that they need to do All Stars unless they just genuinely want to or need the fan boost.

The J*mbo hate is from knowing she's gonna be yet another in a long list of mediocre white queen that both the fans and production are gonna favor. There's already been tea that many of the queens felt production was favoring her but of course good ol white loving atrhell will deny it just like they did with Kinks last year. 

 

The fact that there's a very real possibility all but 1 AS season crowns a white queen and we could end up with 7/9 white winners (especially when only 2 deserved in the first place) is legitimately appalling

 

 

AS8 isn't even that bad of a cast. Heidi, Kandy, and unfortunately J*mbo are 3 of the biggest stars of the modern seasons. Jessica and Darienne are queens people have wanted back for years. Jaymes and Kahanna have had massive glowups from their original seasons, Alexis is a cringe camp icon, and LaLa is a legend in the making who earned her spot on the basis of being Miss C and a LSA alone. Naysha, Kasha, and Monica are the only real sneaks.

You can argue Jinkx was favored on AS7 but you’re not going to convince anyone it was unfairly so if your argument is that she is mediocre when she isclearly talented and was good at the challenges.

It's not Jimbo's fault production has ****** up time after time. AS1 was Yara's, AS3 was Shangela's, AS4 was Manila's or Monique's, AS5 was Jujubee's, AS6 was Rajah's. Like, none of this is controversial, Jimbo should be the third white queen to win if production wasn't absolutely stupid.
