rooby.booby Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 I'm on a horror movie spree so i can finish my ranking. Yesterday i watched "House Of Darkness". I didn't hate it, i didn't like it. It was meh. Watching The Red Book Ritual right now, 30 minutes in and i'm already ready for it to end.
mellenthin Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 Deadstream was absolutely terrible. I can't believe ya'll rated it so high on letterboxd. I was bored all the way through. The comedy aspect of it was just cringe. SHAME on ya'll.
mokitsu Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 The Menu and Bones & All were both amazing So many walk outs during Bones though
Reverse Warholian Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 The Menu serving legs at the box office. Four weeks in the Top 5. https://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/2022W49/?ref_=bo_hm_rw

Bhabylon Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Finally saw Pearl and omg miles better than X, which I also liked an excellent film kinda wish I’d seen it before all the memes tho because they took away from it a little. But that’s on me
enchanted0 Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 I know I'm late af but Barbarian whew I think it might be my favorite? But I still haven't watched Bodies and Pearl so.. I lost it when the actor ABANDON her right after he repented & not him literally throwing her away... they nailed it

And funny thing at first i watched the wrong Deadstream, that was a little bit boring but i could finish it at least.

mellenthin Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 The difference in quality between Terrifier and Terrifier 2 was like night and day, like Lake Mungo and Mulholland Drive etc. The camp, the self-awareness, EVERYTHING was just done so much better.

rooby.booby Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 I've watched "Watcher" last night. It was a slow burn, but i liked it, nothing special but it's ok.

The analogy is the wrong way around but I can't help but agree! Turdifier 1 was trash but 2 was a delectable little treat
truthteller Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 so Mia and Ti plotted Jenna's death in X and smuggled a spinoff for herself just to get nothing from the award shows? now who's the f***ing star?
Likingstars Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Smile is ok. I like the message but the direction needs a lot of work. They rely too much on jump scare tactix than actually tryna build the atmosphere. Bodies is a MESS I guess this is why i will never do drug.
mellenthin Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 (edited) Re: Something in the Trash Dirt. The main plot was trying its hardest to be everything at once (very meta and next-level) while the subplot was dreadfully boring and unengaging. All this while half-assedly trying to tug at your heartstrings - when you really haven't gotten attached to any of the characters because they're so ******* boring - supported by lifeless acting and a terribly pretentious script and concept. It was so scattered while at the same time sooooo monotone. 2 hours I'll never get back. Worse than Lake Zzz, so there's your win @skankle. Edited December 15, 2022 by mellenthin
